  • Patent number: 11669673
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing character encoding. A plurality characters that are each encoded as code units based on a character code may be provided such that the code units for each character represents a code point of a character encoding scheme. An encoding model may be determined based on the character code, one or more processor features, and a target character code. Process features may be employed to transform the code units into target code units based on the encoding model such that the target code units are based on the target character code and such that the target code units encode the code point for each character. The plurality of target characters may be provided to a target stream such that each target character may be encoded as the target code units.

  • Patent number: 9036281
Abstract: An opto-mechanical device, such as a lens cell, includes a housing having an axially extending chamber and an intermediate internal spacer that positions a sharp-edged lens in the chamber. The sharp-edged lens has first and second optical surfaces that intersect in a circumferential sharp edge. The housing positions an image sensor proximal to the sharp-edged lens for processing light therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20090258718
Abstract: The shot training device is used as a training aid for learning to play pocket billiards. The device aids the student in learning the three major components of a shot for pocket billiards: pocketing the object ball, cue ball direction, and cue ball speed control. The device includes an object ball circle for placement of an object ball. The device also includes an imaginary cue ball circle for aiming the cue ball. The device further includes cut angle lines and cue ball path lines for determining a cut angle to the object ball and plotting a path of the cue ball after impact with the object ball. A kit and a method of training a user to play billiards are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060262415
Abstract: A lens structure and method for manufacture of such a lens. A lens element has multiple sawn planar faces between image forming surfaces so the lens element has a polygonal cross section. The manufacture includes the step of utilizing oversized conventional cylindrical lens elements and other optical elements formed into lens systems. The faces are sawn to reduce the overall size. The sawing can be applied to integral lens elements or assemblies or lens arrays.

  • Publication number: 20050083581
Abstract: A lens assembly and method for manufacture. The lens assembly includes at least one lens element, with multiple sawn planar faces formed parallel to an optical axis and spaced equidistantly from the optical axis so the lens element has a polygonal cross section. Each lens element has a centered, rotationally symmetric characteristic so the overall assembly has a corresponding characteristic. The manufacture includes the step of utilizing oversized conventional cylindrical lens elements and other optical elements formed into lens systems. The faces are sawn to reduce the overall size. A circumscribing sheath provides a segmental lumen along each face.

  • Patent number: 4886310
Abstract: According to the present invention, a door handle assembly includes a handle mounted on the outside of the door panel and having a push button mounted on the handle and projecting outside the door panel to be accessible to the vehicle user. The push button is mounted for reciprocal movement to be pushed inwardly to a position inside the door panel when the push button is depressed. A door latch operating lever is mounted inside the door panel and operably connected to the door latch. The push button is hollow and has a cam surface provided on the inside thereof. The door latch operating lever has a cam follower portion extending through the door panel and into the inside of the push button to engage with the cam surface of the push button. When the push button is depressed, the cam surface pivots the operating lever to unlatch the door latch.
