  • Publication number: 20140089964
Abstract: A networked Conditional Access Module provided on an IEEE 1394 network, by defining a Conditional Access Module as a Conditional Access Subunit of the IEEE 1394 network, providing AV/C Conditional Access Commands to allow communication between the Conditional Access Subunit and other Subunits on the network, the Conditional Access Subunit including means to receive AV/C Conditional Access Commands over the IEEE 1394 network from another subunit, and means to transmit AV/C responses over the IEEE 1394 network in response to the received AV/C Conditional Access Commands.

  • Publication number: 20090112261
Abstract: A minimally invasive modular system is disclosed for stabilizing the anterior column of the spine through an anterior or lateral approach. Bone anchors are implanted into the vertebral bodies of adjacent vertebrae and serve as a foundation for a fixation system. The anchors comprise an interface surface that allows an interconnecting link to be secured to the anchors in a low-profile manner with minimum protrusion beyond the vertebral members. The link may be secured to the bone anchors to affect a compressive interlocking force between the bone anchors and vertebrae.

  • Publication number: 20090105819
Abstract: A minimally invasive, fluoroscopically guided system is disclosed for stabilizing the articular facet joints of adjacent vertebrae. Ring and dowel implants are disclosed for installation into the facet joint. The invention includes a novel spine surgical training aid used in the initial surgeon training process for refreshing the surgeon's perspective of the critical three dimensional anatomy of the vertebrae. The invention also includes a surgical kit having a range of size-specific drills, inserters, impactors and custom-length long k-wires matched to the internal diameter of the instrumentation system.

  • Patent number: 7280530
Abstract: An integrated voice gateway system for use within a company which can route a voice telephone call between parties at two different locations over an IP network or over the PST NETWORK. The system can route a voice telephone call from a first location within the system to a second location within the system via the IP network, and then from the second location to a third location via the PST NETWORK. The integrated voice gateway system includes a gateway server which serves as an intranet/Internet telephony gateway. The gateway server routes intra-company voice or facsimile (fax) calls, over the company's intranet or the public Internet. The gateway server provides an alternate voice network to the PST NETWORK for a company. This alternate network is provided at a much lower cost. The gateway server is a combination of hardware and software components which reside on a PC server platform. The gateway server is coupled to a customer premise telephone system, i.e.
