    Abstract: An active circuit includes (a) a first chopper circuit that receives an input signal and a chopping signal of a frequency higher than a base band of the input signal, and that provides a modulated input signal; (b) an amplifier that receives the modulated input signal and that provides an amplified signal resulting from amplifying the modulated input signal; and (c) a second chopper circuit that receives the amplified signal and the chopping signal to provide an output signal. The chopping signal has a frequency that may be dynamically adjusted to accommodate changes in impedance and signal spectrum as a result of the operations of the chopper circuits. The active circuit further includes a low pass filter that receives the output signal and that attenuates components of the output signal above the base band of the input signal. In this manner 1/f noise introduced by the amplifier is eliminated or reduced.

Two cables maintain the ball-socket segments and tip in contact with a transition piece and with one another to enable the flexible borescope end portion to follow the movement of the directionally controlled video head.

    Abstract: A smart external antenna module is proposed for wireless systems. The module allows the advantages of smart antennas to be easily added to existing wireless systems without any modification to the transceiver. Specifically, the smart antenna module weights and combines the signals received by multiple antennas to improve the received signal quality, and then when it detects that there is a signal to be transmitted by the transceiver, it turns off the receiver, turns on the transmitter and uses the receive weights to transmit the signal out of the multiple antennas to improve signal reception at the desired user. Such a module can be added to the external antenna port of an existing transceiver with no change to that transceiver.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for minimizing the interference between wireless transmissions and a proximately located or co-located GPS receiver is disclosed. By feedforward of a phase and amplitude adjusted version of the transmitted signal and combining said signal with the composite signal at the input of the GPS receiver, the GPS receiver sensitivity degradation is reduced or eliminated in the case of perfect cancellation, and the GPS receiver is not jammed by the wireless transmissions. The invention allows a single antenna to be implemented for GPS reception and wireless transmission and reception without unduly complicating the diplexing/filtering network required to separate the multiple signals being transmitted and/or received by the single antenna.
