  • Patent number: 9723460
Abstract: A method and system for managing email or other messaging and attachments to messages which are forwarded to devices having limited processing and memory capacity. The method includes the steps of: receiving a user configuration categorizing messages for the user by elements of the message; accessing the user message datastore upon receipt of at least one new message for the user to a user data store; comparing said at least one new message to a set of user specific rules; rendering a message summary including at least one link accessible by the processing device, the link enabling action with respect to the message when selected by the user; and outputting the message summary to a user device.

  • Patent number: 9542076
Abstract: A living address book allows subscribers to define their own personas as collections of information which define the users. Subscribers can then publish their persona(s) to their friends' and associates' mobile phones and update the others' address books with the subscriber's contact information. Users can also specify different personas to be presented to different users. The living address book graphical user interface allows more efficient and easier access to data.

  • Patent number: 9432439
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, mobile phones and other electronic devices access content through links, rather than storing the content on the mobile phone or at a location under the control of a mobile phone operator. A user retrieves the content by accessing a link on the mobile phone, which results in transferring the content from a content-provider location directly to the mobile phone. In this way, the mobile phone operator does not have to reserve storage for the content, and the content provider, alerted that the user is restoring or otherwise requesting content, is able to offer the user upgrades, replacement content, and related content. To better offer a user relevant content, a history of purchases for the mobile phone, the user, or both is maintained.

  • Patent number: 8620286
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, digital content is able to be better promoted on mobile phones and other electronic devices. The digital content and/or references to the digital content are stored on a server device which is accessible by the mobile phones or electronic devices. In operation, a user of a mobile device acquires digital content. When the user obtains a second mobile device, to facilitate and promote the same or similar digital content on the second mobile device, the digital content or references stored on a server device are able to be used to present the possibility of acquisition of the digital content for the second mobile device.

  • Patent number: 8181111
Abstract: The system and method for providing social context to digital activity combines mobile device contact information with user-provided website information to aid users when browsing the Internet. Users of mobile devices define identifications of themselves for websites, so that when another user in their contact list is browsing the Internet, an indicator is able to indicate that he is a known contact. The determination of whether the person is a known contact based on the identification definitions is able to be implemented either by direct interfacing between the host website and a server which stores the identification definitions, a browser plugin which communicates with the server or an API provided by the server or a mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20080082421
Abstract: An advanced contact identification system in a wireless communication network is configurable to increase subscribership and revenues for an enterprise service provider and vendors and to increase sales of content. A personal brand having a popular ringtone, graphic or other content may be widely shared among subscribers of the advanced contact identification system. Various configurations of a monetization scheme for subscribers to share popular and incentivized content drive sales for such content and increase revenue.

  • Publication number: 20070053335
Abstract: Technology is provided to allow users of wireless mobile devices to propagate personal contact information to other users in an automated fashion. Users can create a “persona” of information which is made public, or destined for groups or individual friends, which is then distributed and added to the mobile device's address book or other data store in an automated or semi-automated fashion. A process for installing personification information to a first wireless device includes: detecting a communication initiation between the first wireless device and a second wireless device user; in response to said detecting, retrieving published persona information of the second wireless device user; and storing the published persona information in an address book on the first wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20050099963
Abstract: A data transmission system which optimizes transfer and updates of information between systems by providing difference information between the systems is disclosed. Information transfer can occur one way (broadcast) or two-way (sync). In a first aspect, the system includes a differencing transmitter transmitting at least one set of difference transactions and a differencing receiver receiving said at least one set of difference transactions. The differencing transmitter of the data transmission system may comprise a difference source interface, a copy of a previous state of said difference source, and a difference transaction generator. The differencing receiver of the data transmission system comprises a difference destination interface, a copy of a previous state of said difference destination, and a destination data constructor. In a further embodiment, the data transmission system is coupled to a network.

  • Publication number: 20050102257
Abstract: A system and method for organizing information in a personal information space. The personal information space includes at least one data source holding at least a portion of the personal information space. The system includes an agent for the data source which provides interaction information regarding data in the data source; and a interaction evaluation engine including one or more weighting characteristics for each interaction, and providing an output reflecting a weighting of one or more characteristics of the interaction. The method may comprise the steps of determining when an interaction between a contact on one of the contact data sources occurs; analyzing one or more characteristics of the interaction event to determine a at least one trait about the interaction; and generating a result based on said step of analyzing.
