  • Patent number: 4166281
Abstract: A suppression circuit processes the video signal from an image pickup tube and develops a control signal indicative of the time duration of the illumination highlights. The control signal is coupled to the normal beam current supply circuit so as to automatically increase the beam current in the presence of an illumination highlight to force the recharging of the target in the area of the highlight. Additional signal processing of the control signal by delay means and waveshaping improves the feedback loop stability and reduces the transient effects of the control signal on beam current crosstalk in the video output signal from the image pickup tube. In a color camera, only one of the three camera tube signals need be used for the highlight detection and generation of the control signal. The control signal may be used for increasing the beam current in each of the three tubes independently.

  • Patent number: 4158208
Abstract: An automatic setup unit for use with color TV cameras of the type including a digital memory for storing the control values for the camera. An automatic setup unit which is responsive to the video from the camera when viewing a predetermined pattern, such as a chart for measuring errors, is coupled to the memory and provides control signals to the memory with the appropriate addresses for updating the memory and for applying the control values to the camera.

  • Patent number: 4141040
Abstract: A video signal amplitude registration system for a television camera is provided in which the video amplitude of two or more related video signals derived from scanning a common reference are compared with a rising ramp voltage so as to generate a control voltage proportional to the misregistration of the video signal amplitudes at both the black and white signal levels.

  • Patent number: 4110785
Abstract: A clock generator is provided which demodulates the burst subcarrier portion of a video signal containing time base errors. The demodulation is with respect to an external subcarrier reference signal so that the demodulator output represents an accurate vector summation of the instantaneous phase and amplitude difference of the incoming video signal relative to the external reference. The demodulator output is utilized to remodulate the external reference signal to provide a rephased subcarrier reference signal which is frequency multiplied and waveshaped to produce a clock signal which is synchronized to the incoming video signal.

  • Patent number: 4074307
Abstract: A time base corrector for removing time base errors from video signal information of a type including synchronizing pulses is provided. A storage means in the form of a charge coupled device (CCD) has the video information coupled to its input. A start-stop oscillator in conjunction with a preset counter coupled to the storage means clocks the video information into the storage means so as to stop the clock when the input signal information has been transferred to the output terminal of the storage means. A local reference restarts the clock and the stored input signal information is clocked out in synchronism with the local reference.
