Patent number: 10532956Abstract: This invention relates to polymeric compositions for application onto natural stone in order to provide for long-term chemical, stain, and water resistance, along with antimicrobial properties. Many natural, unsealed stones do not have stain, etch, or water resistance. The described compositions were developed using a technology of chemical grafting that involves the use of prepolymers, monomers, catalysts, graft initiators, wetting agents, antimicrobial agents, and other ingredients. The composition, when thus applied to the stone surface allows it to obtain a graft polymerization, thereby forming a polymer film that is chemically attached to the natural stone, rather than typical physical bonding of other sealer compositions. The natural stones react with a graft initiator in the composition, which creates the reaction sites on the natural stone surface via free radical mechanisms.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2017Date of Patent: January 14, 2020Assignee: Questech CorporationInventors: Barry Culkin, Roger Questel, Robert Harrington, Douglas Croteau, Paul Thottathil, Purushoth Kesavan, John Ryan, Satyabrata Mukherjee

Publication number: 20190105623Abstract: Embodiments of a feed additive delivery device, a system comprising a micro weigh machine and the feed additive delivery device, and a method for using the device and system are disclosed. A particular exemplary feed additive delivery device comprised a feed additive hopper for suppling feed additive to a rotary valve that meters feed additive from the hopper to a blow through assembly having an assembly inlet that receives feed additive from the rotary valve, an assembly outlet through which feed additive is dispensed, and an air port for drawing air into the assembly to facilitate feed additive dispensation through the assembly outlet. The system is useful for batching a composition comprising an animal feed and at least one coated animal feed additive, a delicate animal feed additive, or combinations thereof. For certain embodiments the animals are ruminants and the coated feed additive is a coated methionine product.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2018Publication date: April 11, 2019Applicant: MWI Veterinary Supply Co.Inventors: Robert A.
