  • Patent number: 9150161
Abstract: Vehicular mounted load carrier racks can include a lock cover to shroud an operator-engageable portion of a clamp device from unauthorized access in an installed and locked position. The operator-engageable portion can secure and release the clamp device to and from a surface such as a vehicle. The locking cover can be mounted in an installed and locked position on the clamp device to shroud the operator-engageable portion of the clamp device from unauthorized access in the installed and locked position. The locking can comprise a cover body and a lock. The cover body can have perimeter walls defining a receiving cavity within which the operator-engageable portion of a respective clamp device is located in the installed and locked position of the cover body on the clamp device. The lock can be coupled to the cover body. The lock can have an engagement portion transitional between locked and unlocked configurations.

  • Publication number: 20150107418
Abstract: An improved sledge hammer device is disclosed having first and second head portions attached to a central rod and a hand guard which is substantially parallel to the central rod. In operation, the hammer is held by the central rod, or optionally by the hand guard and is brought vertically or horizontally in contact with its target by the user. The device is particularly advantageous in situations where the typical central handle and/or wide swing arc is impractical due to space constraints.

  • Patent number: 8942956
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for presenting a design of a fiber-optic network. In one aspect, a server receives from a client device a request for a diagram of the design. The server accesses a data-structure representing the design, generates a representation of a cable run, and transmits the representation to the client device for display. In another aspect, the server transmits to the client device an indication that the cable run is illegal and receives from the client device an indication of a user-specified cable run. Subsequently, the server modifies the data structure to replace the illegal cable run with the user-specified cable run.

  • Patent number: 8191545
Abstract: The present invention describes electroformed thin-wall nickel core drills that are impregnated with diamond abrasives. The thin-wall core drills are formed with a plurality of raised portions and an equal plurality of recessed portions, with each raised portion alternating with a recessed portion, the raised and recessed portions are substantially parallel and are connected by transition portions. In another embodiment, some of the transition regions are formed with intermediate steps or partially raised and recessed portions. These intermediate steps or partially raised or recessed portions allow more uniform distribution of matrix material across a kerf width D1 as the core drill is spun, thereby, giving the cut edge a substantially square profile.

  • Patent number: 8126958
Abstract: A determination is made whether a first application server of a group of N application servers, N being at least two, is a coordinator of the group. Responsive to determining that the first application server is the coordinator of the group, a connection to a billing system is established, via a terminal server, by the first application server. A determination is made whether a second application server of the group of N application servers is the coordinator of the group. Responsive to determining that the second application server is not the coordinator of the group, a periodic check is made whether the second application server of the group of N application servers is the coordinator of the group. The second application server may later be determined to be the coordinator of the group, when the first server experiences difficulty.
