  • Patent number: 11787666
Abstract: A lifting apparatus clamps around the sides of a gang box to facilitate lifting and transporting the gang box. The lifting apparatus has a pair of lifting brackets a set of mounting points and a lateral clamp. The mounting points are support protrusions that extend from the lifting brackets to facilitate affixing the lifting apparatus to the bang box. The lateral clamp is connected in between the brackets and provides the force required to clamp the lifting apparatus around the gang box. Thus preventing the lifting brackets from becoming dislodged from the gang box.

  • Publication number: 20200079294
Abstract: A transport frame for mounting a gang box onto a vehicle has a box-receiving basket, an intermediary support frame, and a vehicle coupling mechanism. The box-receiving basket is a cradle that is positioned around a base of the gang box. The intermediary support frame is a rigid structure that transfers the weight of the gang box from the box-receiving basket into the vehicle coupling mechanism. The vehicle coupling mechanism then transfers the weight of the gang box into the vehicle's trailer hitch. The box-receiving basket has a perimeter frame and multiple support beams. The support beams are connected across the perimeter frame to form a cage that conforms to the shape of the gang box. The intermediary frame is connected in between the box-receiving basket and the vehicle coupling mechanism so that the box-receiving basket is retained in a desired orientation relative to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070250935
Abstract: Managing the selection and scheduling of security audits run on a computing network. The computer network is surveyed by a security audit system to determine the function and relative importance of the elements in the network. Based on function and priority, a more thorough type of security audit is selected to run against each of the network elements by the security audit system. The security audit can also be automatically scheduled based on the information gathered from the survey. Once the system runs the security audit, a vulnerability assessment can be calculated for each element in the network. The vulnerability assessment can be presented in a format that facilitates interpretation and response by someone operating the system. The vulnerability assessment can also be used to configure and schedule future security audits.

  • Patent number: 5895388
Abstract: A method and apparatus prepares a joint surface to receive a prosthetic joint implant during the replacement of a defective human joint. In particular the invention provides an implant preparation device that will smooth or alter a bearing surface of a first side of a joint before surgically attaching a joint implant to a second side of the joint. The implant or joint preparation device has an abrasive bearing surface that is used to smooth the bearing surface of the remaining natural joint.

  • Patent number: 5725585
Abstract: A great toe implant for replacement of a portion of the proximal phalanx has a substantially reniform bearing surface, providing a recess on the lower edge for receiving the flexor hallucis longus tendon once implanted. Retaining portions (such as small spikes) provided on the rear face of the implant engage the proximal phalanx, preventing rotation of the implant with respect to the proximal phalanx once the implant is surgically implanted. In addition, holes are provided on the lower edge of the implant to attach the implant to the flexor hallucis brevis tendons and to the proximal phalanx.
