Abstract: A method for updating, at a first device, a reporting configuration of a second device in a wireless network environment may include accessing, at the first device, a current reporting configuration for a second device, wherein the second device transmits sensor data to the first device according to the reporting configuration; measuring network congestion of the wireless network environment surrounding the first device; based on the network congestion and the current reporting interval, determining an updated reporting configuration for the second device; and transmitting an instruction to the second device with the updated reporting interval.
