Publication number: 20230008256Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of a food safety management system, including interfaces for management and reporting and a handheld computing device for checklist completion. A checklist of tasks to be performed in a food service establishment is obtained and displayed on a touchscreen of the handheld computing device. Confirmation is obtained on the touchscreen whether a task has been completed. An identifier at a location in the food service establishment is inputted to verify that a task has been completed. Temperature readings are obtained from one or more stationary sensors monitoring a food storage environment. Task completion data and temperature data are sent to a server.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2022Publication date: January 12, 2023Inventors: Douglas Brown Dillard, Robert Bradford Gray, David Alan Spencer, John Ashwell Raymond, Adam Jon Parrott

Publication number: 20220390285Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for image-based verification of checklist items. In one embodiment, a user request is received to record a temperature reading of a food item using a handheld temperature sensor. In response to the user request, the temperature reading is received and an image of the handheld temperature sensor is captured. The image of the handheld temperature sensor is stored in association with the temperature reading.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 3, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Inventors: Adam Parrott, Thomas Schmitt, Robert Bradford Gray

Publication number: 20210247134Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for an automated temperature logging and predictive alerting system for monitoring items that are being cooled or heated. In one embodiment, a predictive logging application may compare a predicted temperature curve of an item to a predefined slope to predict whether or not the item will meet a target threshold. The target threshold may be a target temperature or duration rule that can be aggregated discontinuously over a single day or multiple days. If the projected temperature curve is predicted to not meet the target threshold, the logging application may send alerts notifying a client of available corrective actions. In projecting the predicted slope, the predictive logging application may train machine learning models to analyze historical data associated with the item and the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2021Publication date: August 12, 2021Inventors: ROBERT BRADFORD GRAY, Thomas Gibson Woodbury, Mary Nicole Veitch

Publication number: 20020095402Abstract: Direct order entry is enabled through the use of a hand-held independent computer that coordinates the entry and transmission of data between a data entry enterprise and a data receiving enterprise. Software and data can be delivered to a data center that can transmit the software and data the hand-held computer. Data can be directly entered into the hand-held computer in an off-line mode and subsequently transmitted to the data center in an on-line mode. The handheld computer provides full freedom of movement in the off-line mode and precise data transmission in the on-line mode, thereby reducing or eliminating data entry error.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2002Publication date: July 18, 2002Inventors: Douglas Brown Dillard, Robert Bradford Gray, John Ashwell Raymond
