  • Patent number: 7246540
Abstract: Three congruent prongs (16A, 16B, 16C) mounted on a shaft tube (12), converges simultaneously when an operating sleeve (14) moves forward. This action, along with their notches and shape provides a firm grip for holding and starting nuts and bolts. These prongs, made out of 304 grade stailess steel bands, provide good spring-like flexibility and rigidity. The concave sides of the prongs mate with the outside surface of the shaft tube (12) every time the operating sleeve (14) is moved forward. These physical features provide consistent alignment of the prongs every time the tool is used. With rubber sealant (16D) coated on the inside surface of the prongs, the nut and bolt starter gives a firm grip to hold and start a wide variety of shapes and sizes of screws, nuts and bolts. Additional uses of this tool are done with the prop rod (20) supplementing the prongs.

  • Patent number: 7249235
Abstract: A heap analyzer that processes a snapshot of the heap contained in a dump file is described. The heap analyzer tool can be configured to relocate the pointers in the dumped heap and allow developers to examine the heap in web browser by presenting markup for displaying a heap object in the browser and rendering pointers in the object as clickable links. When a link is selected, the pointer is followed to another object and markup is generated for rendering that object with its links. Furthermore, callbacks may be provided through an application programming interface (API) to allow developers to furnish their own code for analyzing and displaying their data structures.

  • Patent number: 7247219
Abstract: The invention is a rotatable cylindrical roll for heat sealing heat sealable materials that includes a heating zone for sealing the material and a cooling zone for supporting the newly formed seal. The device comprises a conductive zone and a resistive zone that are in electrical communication. The resistive zone comprises a cylindrical member having a circumferential band of resistive material disposed on its surface. The conductive zone comprises a cylindrical member having a plurality of conductive strips extending laterally across its surface that are in electrical communication with the resistive band. Current is applied via a brush to the conductive strips. Current flows from the conductive strips into the resistive band and exits through a conductive strip that is in contact with a ground. Current path through the resistive band defines the heating zone, and the cooling zone is defined by area of the resistant band outside the heating zone.

  • Patent number: 7249053
Abstract: In one embodiment, a first message and a second message are sequentially displayed in the same presentation vehicle. Initially, the first message may be displayed in the presentation vehicle. The second message may replace the first message in the presentation vehicle if the presentation vehicle is about to be closed. Sequentially displaying two messages in the same presentation vehicle minimizes the number of presentation vehicles on a computer screen and provides at least two chances to attract an end-user's attention. It provides end-users with another alternative choice without taking up any more display space. When employed to display advertisements, for example, this provides more value to end-users and enables more advertisers to reach their target audience.

  • Patent number: 7248703
Abstract: A system (400) for reducing non-acoustic noise includes a primary sensor (420), at least one secondary sensor (410), a filter (415), and a summation unit (425). The primary sensor (420) measures pressure and produces a primary pressure signal. The at least one secondary sensor (410) measures pressure and produce a secondary pressure signal. The filter (415) processes the secondary pressure signal to produce a filtered pressure signal. The summation unit (425) subtracts the filtered pressure signal from the primary pressure signal to reduce non-acoustic noise in the primary pressure signal.

  • Patent number: 7248659
Abstract: A method is provided for acquiring incoming signals in a wireless network device. This method uses three different types of preamble: a normal preamble, a short preamble, and a long preamble. One of these preambles will be used as a default preamble. Then, depending upon signal parameters, the device can change from one preamble to another, trading off data transmission speed and acquisition time to achieve the maximum data transmission speed by using the minimum acquisition time. These signal parameters could be signal strength, the number of packet retransmissions the device must request, or any other metric that is required. And thresholds will vary with the quality of service.

  • Patent number: 7249316
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for importing markup language formatted data into a spreadsheet document and for exporting markup language formatted data from a spreadsheet document. XML data is associated with an XML schema file defining XML data types and data type definitions for applying the XML data to the document. An XML data map is prepared that relates any XML data applied to the document back to corresponding XML elements or attributes defined in the associated schema file. When the document is imported into a spreadsheet application grid, the data map is parsed to find XPATHs in the imported spreadsheet document of XML data and the user entered data. After an imported document has been edited, the document may be exported such that the XML data applied to the document is maintained for subsequent import and use of the document.
