  • Patent number: 9942314
Abstract: In a computer system having multiple servers, services are coordinated among nodes as a result of each node tracking the node state of each other node (such as the services it currently performs) and performing coordinator functions (such as controlling which servers provide which services) only if it determines itself to be a coordinator node and only if all nodes are in agreement as to the node state of every node. Each node communicates, to each of the other nodes, its node state, a coordinator node identifier indicating which node it has determined to be the coordinator node, and a global state of all nodes it determines based on the node states and coordinator nodes of all the nodes. A node performs coordinator functions only if it is a coordinator node and only if all nodes have the same global state.

  • Publication number: 20180054458
Abstract: A data network includes a data processor, a network device, and a DDoS Protection System (DPS). The data processor provides an application to a user system. The network device routes application data traffic between the data processor and the user system. The DPS receives first telemetry information related to the application from the data processor and second telemetry related to the data traffic from the network device, delimits the telemetry information into telemetry information chunks comprising that portion of the telemetry information having a time-stamp that is within a corresponding time-stamp window, processes each telemetry information chunk in to a Reactor Telemetry Record (RTR) that includes a portion of the corresponding telemetry information chunk, analyzes the RTRs to determine if the data network is experiencing a DDoS attack, and initiates a response when the data network is experiencing a DDoS attack.

  • Patent number: 9788857
Abstract: A surgical system comprising a cannula assembly and an obturator assembly for penetrating tissue is disclosed. A cover of the cannula assembly is mounted to a cannula housing and has a cover aperture therethrough. The cover has a trailing end face defining a predetermined geometrical configuration, at least a portion of the trailing end face is obliquely arranged relative to a longitudinal axis and terminates in, and leads toward the cover aperture to facilitate guiding of the surgical object through the cover aperture. The obturator assembly includes an obturator housing and an obturator member. • Patent number: 9668721
Abstract: A surgical apparatus for positioning within a tissue tract accessing an underlying body cavity adapts to tissue tracts of different widths. The surgical instrument includes a proximal member, a distal member, and a sleeve extending between the proximal member and the distal member and defining a longitudinal passage therein. The proximal member includes an inflatable member that selectively adjusts the radial dimension of the proximal member. A ring member may be separately insertable by a user during a surgical procedure into the space directly adjacent to the radially-inner surface of the inflatable member, so as to selectively provide rigidity to the proximal member.
