  • Patent number: 11161321
Abstract: Elastic nonwoven composites suitable for a wide variety of uses are provided. The composite includes at least one extensible nonwoven layer, including a first extensible nonwoven layer, and at least one elastic nonwoven layer, in which the nonwoven layer comprises elastic continuous filaments. The composite may be bonded and activated by, at least in part, a stretching operation. The elastic continuous filaments may comprise an additive, such as a slip additive.

  • Patent number: 10881054
Abstract: Fabrics suitable for a wide variety of uses, including coverage of crops, crop planting sites, or both, are disclosed. The fabrics may comprise at least one spunbond layer comprising filaments including a filler. The at least one spunbond layer may comprise a basis weight of least about 12 grams-per-meter-squared and the at least one spunbond layer may comprise an average transmittance value within the photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) across wavelengths 400 nm to 700 nm comprising about 37% or less. Methods of enhancing crop growth are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070117490
Abstract: A nonwoven fabric with totally or partially hydrophilic areas and hydrophobic areas which have a certain geometry and, optionally, a hydrophilic gradient is provided. The process to manufacture the fabric includes a treatment stage thereof with a plasma, whether in a vacuum or at atmospheric pressure. By controlling the plasma generation and application parameters, the particular area and the quantity of hydrophilic groups incorporated in the fabric surface is controlled. The fabric can be used in applications of the hygiene and sanitary sector to manufacture nappies, incontinence products and feminine hygiene products, for example.
