    Abstract: A method and apparatus for implementing pathogen reduction within a poultry processing or food processing plant that uses water that has been treated with chloramines at an advantageous dosage before being introduced to the production process at processing steps. The water treated with chloramines may be from a fresh water source or reclaimed water from the processing plant. The reintroduction of the treated reclaimed water advantageously causes a dramatic reduction in the levels of microorganisms associated with poultry processing, while substantially conserving water use.

A plurality of dies are stacked on top of one another in a staggering configuration such that an upper die top surface in a pair of adjacent dies faces downward or upward and is displaced by a first distance with respect to a lower die in the pair. The adjacent dies are attached by an adhesive layer between the adjacent dies.

    Abstract: The yield of cement clinker recovered from a kiln assembly is enhanced by feeding a particulate material comprising silica and an oxide of at least one of calcium and aluminum, for example, fly ash into contact with hot cement clinker; the fly ash melts to a partially fused material which chemically reacts with the hot clinker to produce a pyroprocessed cement clinker of crystalline hydraulic silicates; the extruder is added to the hot cement clinker downstream of the formation of the cement clinker, and suitably is added to the hot cement clinker at the upstream end of the cooler of the kiln assembly, or within the kiln, downstream of the burning zone, and more especially in the initial cooling zone at the discharge end of the kiln.

    Abstract: A turbine includes upper and lower inner shell sections mounting the nozzles and shrouds and which inner shell is supported by pins secured to a surrounding outer shell. To disassemble the turbine for access to the inner shell sections and rotor, an alignment fixture is secured to the lower outer shell section and has pins engaging the inner shell section. To disassemble the turbine, the inner shell weight is transferred to the lower outer shell section via the alignment fixture and cradle pins. Roller assemblies are inserted through access openings vacated by support pins to permit rotation of the lower inner shell section out of and into the lower outer shell section during disassembly and assembly. The alignment fixture includes adjusting rods for adjusting the inner shell axially, vertically, laterally and about a lateral axis. A roller over-cage is provided to rotate the inner shell and a dummy shell to facilitate assembly and disassembly in the field.

    Abstract: Improved means and methods for controlling the sequencing and branching of microinstructions in a microprogrammed digital data processing system. Microinstructions are stored without replication in a programmable read-only control memory and corresponding microinstruction addresses and associated test select bits are stored in a separate programmable read-only memory having an instruction address storage capacity which is a predetermined multiple of the number of microinstructions in the control memory depending upon the branching capability desired. A common address register is used for both of the control and address memories, the remaining portion of the control memory addressing being derived from testing particular system conditions selected by test select signals obtained from the address memory.

    Abstract: Longitudinal parity is continuously provided for a predetermined plurality of words stored in a digital memory in a simple and expeditious manner without interfering with normal memory operation. The outputs of the memory read and write registers are applied in corresponding bit pairs to respective ones of a plurality of Exclusive ORs whose outputs are employed to update the respective flip flops of a longitudinal parity register at a time which is specially chosen so that the old word read out of the memory and the new word to be written therein are simultaneously available in the read and write registers.
