  • Patent number: 9188226
Abstract: A method and apparatus for installing a seal cap. The seal cap may be adhered to a fastener element using a material. A portion of the material may be squeezed out as excess material in response to adhering the seal cap to the fastener element. A number of projections associated with the seal cap may be moved along an interface formed between the seal cap and an object in which the fastener element has been installed. The excess material may be faired using the number of projections as the number of projections is moved along the interface between the seal cap and the object.

  • Publication number: 20150262430
Abstract: A system and method are provided for generating and transmitting push notifications in connection with a transport service. Push notification triggers can be configured by a user via an application-based user interface corresponding to an application specific to the transport service. A user profile associated with the user can be accessed to detect one or more preconfigured push notification triggers, and thereafter transport service activity can be dynamically monitored for trigger events. Such trigger events can cause the system to generate and transmit push notifications to the user's mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20150218726
Abstract: Disclosed are cup assemblies for holding, sealing, and providing electrical power to a semiconductor substrate during electroplating which may include a cup bottom element having a main body portion and a moment arm, an elastomeric sealing element disposed on the moment arm, and an electrical contact element disposed on the elastomeric sealing element. The main body portion may be such that it does not substantially flex when a substrate is pressed against the moment arm, and it may be rigidly affixed to another feature of the cup structure. The ratio of the average vertical thickness of the main body portion to that of the moment arm may be greater than about 5. The electrical contact element may have a substantially flat but flexible contact portion disposed upon a substantially horizontal portion of the sealing element. The elastomeric sealing element may be integrated with the cup bottom element during manufacturing.

  • Publication number: 20150203216
Abstract: A system and method for providing remote access to an on-board aircraft system provides establishing communication between an aircraft server that is located within the aircraft and a remote computer that is located outside of the aircraft. In the aircraft, a request is received to establish a remote session between the remote computer and the aircraft server. A passcode is generated in the aircraft, and is transmitted from a first communication device that is collocated with the aircraft to a second communication device that is collocated with the remote computer. The passcode is then transmitted from the remote computer to the aircraft server and, upon receipt of the passcode by the aircraft server, the remote computer is provided with remote access to the on-board aircraft system.

  • Publication number: 20150080128
Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for a content management system that receives an update to a value in at least one cell of a table in an editable document. Each cell of the table maps to a property of a class definition for a game asset of a virtual online game. The content management system modifies a property of the class definition that maps to a cell that received the update to the value. The content management system serializes data representative of the modified property. The content management system sends the serialized data to a client system for instantiation of the game asset having the modified property.

  • Patent number: 8936683
Abstract: A colloidal suspension of particles is rapidly self-assembled with a minimum number of defects into a densely packed array of particles on a substrate under simultaneous sedimentation and annealing forces. The particles may be ordered as an opal structure. Optionally, the synthesized structure may incorporate an electrolyte and be used as a sacrificial form for micromolding an inverse structure. The inverse structure may exhibit a photonic band gap. Optionally, necking between particles may be adjusted after micromolding. Furthermore, a shell may alter physical properties, such as protecting a thermally stimulated photonic band gap device. These low cost methods allow more applications to become commercially viable.

  • Patent number: 8290923
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for hosting within a search engine, large-scale heterogeneous repositories of searchable and navigable content. Customers of the hosting platform are customers wanting to outsource the management of their searchable content. Content domain experts from each customer independently define a taxonomy of categories and attributes for their structured content that form a hierarchical set of nodes (a directed graph) that are mapped to a common physical search engine infrastructure. The mapping algorithm that maps unique attributes across potentially very different subject domains onto the same physical infrastructure is introduced. Once the physical structure is created, the search engine can use it for searching or navigating just within one customer's domain or users can search across multiple customer domains.
