    Abstract: A descender with folding handle and integral pulley preferably includes a base plate, a cover plate, a folding handle, a handle cam, a rope cam, an euler, an integral pulley and at least one spacer. The folding handle includes a base handle portion, a folding handle portion, handle pivot pin and a biasing device. The rope cam includes an inner profile, an outer perimeter, a pivot hole and a rope groove. The pivot hole is formed through rope cam to receive a spacer post. The euler includes a round diameter and a pair of D-shaped projections extending from opposing ends of the round diameter. D-shaped openings are formed in the base and cover plates to receive the D-shaped projections. The integral pulley preferably includes a pulley bracket, a spring clip, a rope pulley and a pulley axle. The rope pulley includes a peripheral groove for retaining a rope.

The first and second gates are pivotally engaged with first and second ends of the base portion. The second gate is pivotally engaged with a second end of the base portion and an opposing end is retained by an end of the second open gate loop. The second two pivoting locks are pivotally retained on a second end of the base portion to prevent the second gate from opening.

    Abstract: System and method for improving the performance, safety, and energy efficiency of a cooking appliance with one or more heating elements operably connected with a burner controller controlling an amount of energy flowing to the one or more heating elements. First, a user or a system controller establishes one or more reference levels. The system controller is operably associated with one or more sensors, which measures levels of one or more emissions generated in the operation of the cooking appliance. Afterwards, the system controller compares the measured levels of the one or more emissions with the reference levels and in response to the measured levels of the emissions exceeding reference levels, sends an activation control signal to the cooking appliance. Then, an energy control mechanism associated with the burner controller adjusts the amount of energy flowing to the heating elements in response to the activation control signal.

    Abstract: An emergency descender device preferably includes a base plate, a cover plate, a feed handle, a lock lever, a rope pulley, a release link and at least one spacer. The rope pulley is pivotally retained between the cover and base plates. The feed handle is preferably pivotally retained on the base plate. The lock lever pivots relative to the feed handle. A lock pin is pressed into the lock lever. A portion of the lock pin engages a perimeter of the cover plate to place the emergency descender device in either a lock position or a release position. The rope pulley grips an anchor rope against the at least one spacer in a locked position. One end of the release link is pivotally engaged with the rope pulley and an opposing end of the release link is pivotally engaged with the feed handle.
