Abstract: Work assist features are provided as a retrofit product to extend the functionality/capabilities of existing hand/powered pallet trucks and also in new trucks including the work assist features. An extension is attached to a truck body near the base of the forks to support a work tray with the tray being mounted for adjustable vertical positioning and being pivotal to move between a use position over forks of the truck and a stowed position out of the way of the forks. The extension can provide for mounting pouches and various accessory supports for convenient access by an operator of the truck so that pencils, papers, clipboards, marking devices, scanners, tape, tools and the like can be held in the pouches or accessory supports rather than being carried by the operator or placed on top of a load.

Abstract: A foldable seat includes a seat member having a pair of generally upwardly opening elongate slots, and a backrest having a pair of hingeblades received with the slots. The hingeblades are pivotally connected to the seat member for rotation about a pivot axis. The hingeblades include bearing surfaces which engage stop surfaces located inside the slots on the seat member to prevent backward rotation of the backrest beyond the normal upright position. The pivot axis, bearing surfaces and stop surfaces are all located below the upper seating surface of the seat member and forward of the rear edge thereof, so that major pinch points are generally inaccessible, whereby the risk of injury on account of inadvertent placement of a finger between the bearing surfaces of the hingeblades and the stop surfaces of the seat member are substantially eliminated.

Abstract: The post arrangement has a cross section which is substantially greater than the panel thickness, and is adapted to partially telescope over the end of one or more panels. The post arrangement defines therein an inwardly opening slot which is vertically elongate so as to permit an end edge portion of the panel to project therein. The slot can accommodate the end edge of a single panel or can be of sufficient angular extent to accommodate the end edge portions of two panels oriented in generally perpendicular relationship to one another.
