  • Patent number: 5868589
Abstract: A fuse holder and connecting assembly for fusing a circuit and connecting two insulated wires (13, 14), comprising a pair of tubular housing members (15L, 15R), each housing member having a connection chamber, a fuse chamber and a conductive member (W1) extending between the connection chamber and the fuse chamber. The conductive member having a bullet shaped portion (23') located in the connection chamber and a fuse engaging portion (61) located in the fuse chamber. A clamp member (31') having externally threaded surface for threaded engagement with the threaded interior wall of the connection chamber. The clamp member also having a throughbore which is adapted to receive a wire end which is to be connected to the bullet shaped end of the conductive member and clamp the wire end in the connection chamber.

  • Patent number: 5695369
Abstract: A quick connect electrical connector for connecting the bare ends of a pair of electrical wires. It comprises a non-conductive first coupling member, having a plurality of connection chambers, each connection chamber having a threaded wall and a central axis. A common conductive connector member is fixedly mounted in the coupling member and having a plurality of bullet-shaped ends, one in each connection chamber with the end surfaces of the coupling member tapering inwardly to a tip. A corresponding plurality of non-conductive second coupling members having an externally threaded wall and internal throughbore having first and second ends and a first conically shaped annular wall surface. The first conically shaped surface and the bullet-shaped connector portions are spaced a variable distance apart when the threaded surfaces are engaged.

  • Patent number: 5259269
Abstract: A flywheel capable of accommodating various automotive engines and transmission systems having different points of balance. The flywheel has a hub portion for securing to a crank shaft output arbor and a web portion integral with said hub portion on the periphery of said web portion and a weight is secured to the flywheel in such a way that the effective weight and effective position thereof is adjustable to a plurality of discrete positions, each of which is precisely correlated to each of the different points of balance of said various automotive engines having different points of balance, respectively. In a preferred embodiment, the weight is angularly and radially adjustable and is guided to each discrete position by at least one slot formed in the web, and a bolt passing through said weight and the slot. The bolts passing through the slots have safety attaching indentations therein for non-slip positive attachment of the weight in the different positions.

  • Patent number: 5228875
Abstract: A positive quick connect electrical connector for connecting the bare ends of a pair of electrical wires is constituted by a molded non-conductive female coupling member having a connection chamber therein and threaded walls. A metal connector member is secured to an end of one of the pair of electrical wires, the metal connector member being positioned in the connection chamber and having a conically-shaped end surface to provide a wire guiding and engaging surface for the bare end of the other of the pair of electrical wires. A non-conductive male coupling member has a bore therethrough. A first end of the bore has a conically-shaped annular wall which is complementary to the conically-shaped end surface on the metal connector member.

  • Patent number: 5148720
Abstract: A conventional lock-up solenoid having a long delivery tube and mounting bracket with outwardly extending mounting legs is mounted on a transmission torque converter case requiring a lock-up solenoid with a short delivery sleeve. This is accomplished by a spacer member constituted by a pair of spacers carried on threaded studs which are received in the tapped holes. In effect, the spacer shortens the long delivery tube so that it fits the space of a short delivery tube lock-up solenoid. If the transmission is one requiring a long delivery tube, it is installed without the spacer and as any other replacement lock-up solenoid.
