  • Publication number: 20060072975
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thread cutting tool with a shank and a cutting part, the cutting part having several cutting lands (3) with interjacent flutes and the cutting lands (3) having a starting taper (3a) and a guide part adjoining same. In order to produce a thread cutting tool with the features named at the outset which experiences less wear and must be reground less often than conventional threadd cutting tools of the type described previously, it is proposed according to the invention that the cutting teeth (5) have a chamfer (6) or rounded area (7) at their corners.

  • Patent number: 6655727
Abstract: An air conduction device suitable for a sports car motor vehicle extends in a lateral direction of the vehicle, adjacent to a tail lid. The air conduction device can be moved by an activation device out of a resting position into an operating position and vice versa. In order to optimize the air conduction device in functional and structural terms, it is hinged on the tail lid by a swing arm device which is separably connected with the activation device by means of which the air conduction device is moved out of the resting position into the operating position.

  • Patent number: 6260751
Abstract: A roof rack includes longitudinal members mounted on longitudinal sides of a roof of a vehicle body and is disposed in receiving devices such that the longitudinal members can be moved from a lowered position into an operative position and vice versa. End pieces of the longitudinal members, which rest in spaced receiving devices of the roof, are swivelled, for setting the operative position or the lowered position, outside the receiving devices and about an axis of rotation extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The end pieces are then inserted again in the receiving devices. Each of the end pieces is releasably connected with a respective longitudinal member.

  • Patent number: 5879059
Abstract: A wheel for a motor vehicle has a wheel spider with spokes defining large air openings therebetween. The spokes extend approximately radially from the wheel hub to the wheel rim. Each spoke comprises at least two outer ribs that extend approximately parallel to one another. At least two inner ribs extend diagonally between the spokes. The inner ribs connect the outer ribs with one another and intersect each other.

  • Patent number: 4644448
Abstract: A headlight for motor vehicles which together with its optically effective parts such as light source, reflector and possibly a diffusion lens is retained within a housing. This housing is closed off by a diffusion lens or by a cover glass and is pivotal about an axis extending essentially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle into an extended use position and into a retracted nonuse position. This axis is positioned at an acute angle with respect to the diffusion lens, and the headlight, respectively, the housing is rotated in the vehicle transverse direction about this so-positioned axis into two end positions (use position and nonuse position) by means of a tumbling movement.
