  • Publication number: 20230413462
Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing defining a magnet attachment area, a bracket positioned in the magnet attachment area, and a magnet attached to the bracket. The bracket is configured to permit angular displacement of at least a portion thereof about an axis of rotation by no more than a predetermined displacement. The bracket may include a platform and a pair of spaced apart pivot arms. In such a case, the platform is configured to support the magnet and the pivot arms are attached to the platform at separate locations aligned along the axis of rotation. Alternatively, the bracket may include a platform, a pair of pivot arms, and a pin. The pivot arms may each define a respective pin aperture and be orthogonal to the platform and spaced apart such that the platform is positioned between them. The pin is positioned in the pin apertures of the pivot arms.

  • Publication number: 20230378632
Abstract: A pass-through antenna mount for a structure includes a base to be placed against an external wall of the structure and a shaft that extends from the base through an opening in the wall. The base defines an aperture therethrough. The shaft extends away from the base and defines a hollow channel extending along a length thereof. The channel is generally aligned with the aperture in the base. The shaft includes a neck portion and an adjacent body portion. The neck portion is configured to accept a fastener and the body portion defines a cable opening in a wall thereof. The cable opening fluidly communicates with the hollow channel. The antenna mount accepts an antenna mounted to the base, where the antenna cable(s) passes through the shaft and exits through the cable opening of the shaft's body portion, thereby taking a tortuous path through the antenna mount.

  • Patent number: 8266025
Abstract: A method and system is provided for assuring the integrity of data used to evaluate financial risk or exposure in trading portfolios such as portfolios of derivative contracts by looking for sweeping changes or statistically significant trends suggestive of possible errors. The method and system uses Content Analysis to measure the changes in the information content or entropy of data to detect abnormal changes that may require human intervention. A graphical user interface can also be provided that provides a mechanism for alerting users of possible errors and also gives an indication of the severity of the detected abnormality.

  • Patent number: 7523535
Abstract: A railcar truck bolster side bearing mounting pad milling machine and method. A milling machine of the present invention includes a pair of milling heads and associated cutters suspended from an overhead frame member. A sliding saddle unit is provided for transporting the bolster into and out of a work envelope of the milling machine. At least one fixturing assembly is attached to the sliding saddle unit to support and fix the position of the bolster in three directions. The bolster is rigidly supported from its underside, thereby eliminating the risk that the bolster may move downward during machining. Since the vertical position of the bolster when presented to the cutters is fixed, thereby the need to raise the bolster into a working position is also eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20070015116
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for virtual shooting practice comprises a displayed shooting practice image including a target portion and a simulated gun. As the target portion of the image moves relative to the remainder thereof, the simulated gun is moved relative to the displayed image and relative to the moving target portion. Movement of the simulated gun is compared with the movement of the target portion of the displayed image resulting in a determination of whether a “shot” from the gun is a “hit” or a “miss”.
