Abstract: A method and a system are adapted to automatically provide contents, particularly multimedia contents, to mobile telephonic terminals of service subscribers; service subscription agreements information are stored in a repository of a service provider for each subscriber; and this information includes service conditions desired by each subscriber; such service conditions including specification of contents desired by each subscriber. Contents are provided to mobile telephonic terminals in push mode according to the conditions desired by each subscriber.

The transcoding includes: determining a transcoding method based on historical information of previous transcoding operations; performing a transcoding of the multimedia contents to be delivered according to the determined transcoding method to obtain transcoded multimedia contents to be delivered, and updating the historical information according to the performed transcoding of the multimedia contents to be delivered.

At the receiving side, a decoded signal is generated by using the excitation contribution of the first subset alone if the coded signals are received at the minimum rate, while for rates higher than the minimum rate the contributions of the subsets which have allowed such rate increase are also used.

Abstract: A low-delay audio signal coding system, using analysis-by-synthesis techniques, has circuitry for adapting the spectral parameters and the prediction order of synthesis filters, and of perceptual weighting filters in the order at each frame, starting from the reconstructed signal relevant to the previous frame. In the case of a CELP coder, gain controls are also provided to adapt, starting from the reconstructed sinal, a factor, bound to the average power of the input signal, of the gain by which the innovation vectors are weighted.
