Patent number: 4941569Abstract: The invention relates to a rectangular key case having a swing-out flat key, so that the key can be integrated into the case in a space-saving manner. The case contains a key receiving space formed as a two-legged receiving shaft which, viewed over its length, is essentially L-shaped and extends with its longer leg along the side edge and with its shorter leg along the front edge of the key case housing. The flat key, in its non-working position, is lowered with its shank part entering into the longer leg and with its grip part entering into the shorter leg located near the corner of the key case housing. The shank part of the flat key is pivoted outside the housing and around its corner with the flat key in a working position pointed in the opposite direction from its non-working position and whereupon the grip part of the key engages into a longitudinal area of the shorter leg more remote from the corner.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1989Date of Patent: July 17, 1990Assignee: Daimler-Benz AGInventors: Martin Lindmayer, Rudi Kneib, Gunther Weikert, Wolfgang Schneider, Rolf Krugener, Klaus-Peter Claar

Patent number: 4939899Abstract: A bidirectional pressure supply system for consumers of pneumatic negative pressure and/or positive pressure has a negative pressure line system and a positive pressure line system, to which the respective pressure types are simultaneously admitted from a pressure generator. Upon the electrically triggerable operation of the generator the consumers are connected, via parallel connected directional valves assigned to the consumers, to the respective pressure line system depending on the pressure type required at that moment, individually or in groups. The system provides an arrangement to apply negative pressure to first consumers and, simultaneously, positive pressure to second consumers.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1988Date of Patent: July 10, 1990Assignee: Daimler-Benz AGInventors: Horst Holzhauer, Wolfgang Schneider, Gunther Weikert, Rudi Kneib, Josef Schumacher

Patent number: 4933663Abstract: A theft protection system for an installation unit recessed in an installation passage protects the installation unit mechanically and by an electrically initiated alarm by permitting the installation to be pulled out of the installation passage to a distance limited mechanically by a movable protection stop and by actuating an electrical theft protection contact within this distance by utilizing the relative motion between the installation unit as an installation retention arrangement and the installation passage to initiate the alarm.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 1989Date of Patent: June 12, 1990Assignee: Daimler-Benz AGInventors: Horst Holzhauer, Gunther Weikert, Rudi Kneib, Martin Guckel, Peter Robitschko
-
Patent number: 4866416Abstract: An anti-theft device for a car radio having a theft module, which renders the car radio inoperative when the radio is slid out of its installation recess in the vehicle, is provided by a joint housing for a power supply and anti-theft protection plug connection elements, as well as for a change-over switch controlling the theft module. The housing is fastened via the plug connection elements at the rear wall of the car radio such that the change-over switch is inevitably actuated by the frame of the installation recess during the sliding-out of the radio.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1988Date of Patent: September 12, 1989Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Horst Holzhauer, Gunther Weikert, Rudi Kneib, Marko Polic, Peter Robitschko, Theodor Reinhard
-
Patent number: 4827976Abstract: In a vacuum distributor box with a suction connection and several vacuum connections, all the vacuum connections are equipped with non-return valves open only when vacuum lines are inserted, both the seals of the box housing itself and the those of the vacuum lines relative to the box housing and the valve sealing seats of the non-return valves being incorporated in a diaphragm seal clamped on all sides between two housing parts.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 1988Date of Patent: May 9, 1989Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Klaus-J. Heimbrodt, Dieter Simon, Dieter Feichtiger, Rudi Kneib, Gunther Weikert, Wolfgang Schneider, Ruediger Hoffmann, Theodor Reinhard

Patent number: 4821668Abstract: On the inside of a rear cover or the like, a motor vehicle has an extractably arranged warning triangle behind which there is a further solidly attached warning triangle which becomes visible after removal of the extractable warning triangle, so that the vehicle is protected while following traffic is warned.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1987Date of Patent: April 18, 1989Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Harald Leschke, Heinz Baumert, Rudi Kneib
-
Patent number: 4805233Abstract: An anti-theft arrangement for a sound-reproducing apparatus, such as a radio, installed into a mounting compartment of a motor vehicle whose contact arrangement assures a high functioning reliability both during the driving operation as well as during service and installation operation as also during unauthorized removal of the apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1987Date of Patent: February 14, 1989Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Peter Robitschko, Rudi Kneib, Marko Polic

Patent number: 4719775Abstract: A central locking system for motor vehicles is provided in which, in addition to the key-actuated central function for the locking or unlocking of door locks, an automatic central locking takes place when the vehicle engine is started and on. However, the automatic central locking of the vehicle can be overridden when the engine is running so that entry and exit are possible. After the entry or exit while the engine is running, the doors of the vehicle are again automatically centrally locked.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1986Date of Patent: January 19, 1988Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Fritz Pross, Rudi Kneib, Guenther Weikert, Klaus J.
