  • Patent number: 5071335
Abstract: In an injection moulding tool for the production of a magnetic tape cassette casing constructed, in part, in two layers the apparatus has a fixed core (1a) provided, on the rim, with a projection (5) which provides a sealing strip relative to the moving core (2a). After the injection moulding process into the first mould cavity (4), the moving core (2a) is moved axially downwards by about half the wall thickness, whereupon the second mould cavity (3, 3') is filled by injection through a second needle shut-off nozzle (FIG. 1b).

  • Patent number: 5014150
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette, for example an audio cassette, which is distinguished by an attractive outer appearance, consists of a bottom part and a top part, transparent in each case, and contains inside it two adjacent tape rolls. The bottom part and the top part each have a transparent housing wall having transparent or slightly colored regions and opaque or untransparent regions. The untransparent or opaque regions are produced by printing surface areas of the cassette housing walls including the application of various patterns and/or colors.

  • Patent number: 4961124
Abstract: An improved magnetic tape cassette with locking elements for the magnetic tape, through which the opening formed in the front side of the cassette as well as the cut out regions of the winding shaft entry openings are effectively sealed, is characterized in that the slide (15) adjacent to the cassette underside (5) possesses at least two locking catches (21), which move in the grooves (22) of the cassette lower part and which are positioned so that they engage with the toothed rings of the winding hubs (6a,6b) when the slide is in its locked state. Additionally, the slide comprises in the center of its front part a catch, which dips into a groove (25), open forwards as well as downwards, on the outside of the cassette lower part. Through the construction according to the invention, the otherwise customary reel brake together with the prestressing spring becomes superfluous (FIG. 3).

  • Patent number: 4916565
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette, in which the activation of the front flap (11) and of the slide (15) is coupled by cassette-side means, contains a side part (12) of the front flap provided with a recess (20) in which a guide peg (18), which rests in the sidewall (16) of the slide, engages with the recess and thus couples the swivelling movement of the front flap with the sliding movement of the slide. In another embodiment, the side wall (12) of the front flap (11) contains a guide peg (22) which engages with a recess (21) provided in a side wall (16'') of the slide (15) (FIG. 3, FIG. 5).
