  • Patent number: 8786788
Abstract: A method is disclosed herein that derives a post-alignment transform that is applied to the input source after the application of an alignment transform to ensure that when each source illuminates the screen, the display is aligned and retains the correct displayed aspect ratio. The transform takes into account the alignment transform and the input source aspect, and then performs a secondary, post-processing transformation that corrects the distortion induced by the alignment transform. This aspect-preserving function is a linear transform that maps pixels in the aligned space to the aligned and aspect-correct space and can be applied to the input signal after the first alignment transform, or, in the case where the alignment transform is also linear, transforms can be directly combined to derive a compound multi-projector, aspect preserving transform. In this way, the input signal to the projectors will be aligned as well as retain proper aspect.

  • Publication number: 20060104208
Abstract: A method and system for reducing fault analysis times in a network having a plurality of pollable objects. Poll responses are received from pollable objects, priorities are assigned to each received poll response in accordance with one or more of a received poll response value, a pollable object status and a type of pollable object, and the assigned priorities are processed and to determine any fault locations, wherein a pollable object with a higher priority is processed before a second pollable object with a lower priority. A status manager is operable to receive poll responses from one or more of the pollable objects, a status analyzer is operable to assign, in conjunction with one or more analyzers, priorities to each received poll response in accordance with the received poll response value, a pollable object status and a type of pollable object, and analyzers coupled the status analyzer use the assigned priorities and the corresponding received poll responses to determine a fault location.

  • Publication number: 20050271047
Abstract: One embodiment disclosed relates to a method of configuring a network including multiple overlapping private address domains. A configuration file is created for each overlapping address domain (OAD). The configuration file includes an identifier for the OAD, a gateway address to the OAD, and mappings between private addresses in the OAD and corresponding management addresses. Another embodiment relates to a system for managing a network including multiple OADs. Another embodiment relates to a method of processing a trap from a network with multiple OADs. Another embodiment relates to a method of finding an active route across a static NAT device.

  • Patent number: 6014143
Abstract: A ray transform method for performing 3D spacial volume transformation for perspective view rendering of a volume data set on a 2D graphics display. A backward mapping approach is used whereby each destination point along a ray is transformed and resampled from the source. The rays converge at the center of projection, or the eye pont, from the projection plane for the perspective view desired. Each ray has a unique ray transform matrix which is combined with an orthographic model view matrix to yield a combined inverse matrix. The floating point values of the combined inverse matrix are coded into a 32 bit fixed point format having 16 bits of scalar and 16 bits of fraction. Once this coding has been done, then transforming consecutive points along a destination ray becomes simple integer adds. The method supports two resampling techniques, nearest neighbor and trilinear interpolation.
