  • Publication number: 20050076408
Abstract: The current invention provides nucleic acid sequences encoding the RIN and MC genes. Compositions comprising these sequences are described, as are plants transformed with such compositions. Further provided are methods for the expression of the RIN and MC genes. The methods of the invention include the direct creation of transgenic plants with the RIN and MC genes by genetic transformation, as well as by plant breeding methods. The sequences of the invention represent a valuable new tool for the creation of transgenic plants, preferably having one or more added beneficial characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4777066
Abstract: A bag or gift package particularly adapted for use with a self-forming ribbon bow is formed with front and rear panels joined together along three marginal edges, including the two sides and the bottom, and open at the top. A sleeve is formed in surrounding relation to the top of the bag and spaced inwardly of the top, to define a passageway for the insertion of the operating ribbons of a self-forming ribbon bow. The encircling sleeve includes transversely extending strips of material which are welded along their marginal edges to leave a center portion free, thereby defining a sleeve-like opening. Access openings are provided through the sleeve in the front and the rear of the panel for the insertion and removal of the bow operator ribbons, and cutouts are formed in the sealed marginal edges to permit the ribbons to exit and re-enter the sleeve in making the turn about the edges of the bag.

  • Patent number: 4608283
Abstract: A gift package includes a self-forming bow, in which the operating ribbons are elongated and formed as an integral part of a gift presentation or gift-receiving bag, with the operating ribbons generally encircling the bag at the open top thereof, whereby pulling the bow-forming ribbons closes the bag top in the nature of a drawstring and, at the same time, forms a decorative bow at one side of the gathered top, complete for presentation. The package is reusable by extracting the bow to its original position. Prior to operating, the bow-forming ribbon lies flat against the side of the ungathered bag to make a compact arrangement for shipping, storing or display.

  • Patent number: 4256107
Abstract: A vaginal cleansing device comprising a sleeve closed at one end with holes in the wall, and a shaft with a longitudinal bore and channels from the bore to the periphery. The ends of the channels are alignable with the holes in the sleeve when the shaft is seated in the sleeve. The channels are slanted so that when aligned as aforesaid cleansing fluid can flow gently from the bore to the vaginal wall.
