  • Publication number: 20210326153
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to enforcing control flow integrity by adding instrumentation when source code is compiled or binary code is rewritten. An indirect call to a control transfer target (e.g., in the source code, in the binary code, etc.) can be identified. Moreover, the instrumentation can be inserted prior to the indirect call. The instrumentation can use a bit from a bitmap maintained by a runtime to verify whether the control transfer target is valid. When an executable image that includes the inserted instrumentation runs, execution can be terminated and/or other appropriate actions can be taken when the control transfer target is determined to be invalid; alternatively, execution can continue when the control transfer target is determined to be valid.

  • Publication number: 20210213933
Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for controlling a plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to improve energy utilization based on vehicle-to-internet cloud (V2C) connectivity. An automated driving system is trained for predicting vehicle motion trajectories based on historical vehicle and environmental trip data. An automated powertrain control system is trained to provide a parametric approximation of long-term energy cost about the remainder of a given vehicle trip. During the trip the automated driving system plans estimated trajectories based on forecasts of power allocation, while the powertrain control system forecasts and controls the fuel burning engine, electric drive motor(s), and powertrain mode, to minimize energy-wasteful motion trajectories.

  • Patent number: 11010340
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods and systems for adapting workflows for the processing of database records. More specifically, the records management and processing system can maintain a plurality of records in a database. Each record can comprise a record of a service provided to a consumer by a service provider of a plurality of service providers. For each record of the plurality of records, an expected result from taking an additional action on the record can be determined. A set of records from the plurality of records and having a common attribute value can be determined based on the determined expected result for each record of the plurality of records. The identified records can be processed according to one or more workflows executed by the records management and processing system.

  • Publication number: 20210064725
Abstract: A system and method for generating and utilizing a digital pass with user verification and autofill formatted data is disclosed. Initially, a request is received for the digital pass to be generated for a user. The request includes identification (ID) information that is added to a database. An image is defined for the digital pass, the image incorporating at least a portion of the ID information therein and being editable only by the digital pass management system. The digital pass, which includes the image and a non-image portion that is editable by the user, is generated. At least a portion of the ID information is autofill formatted ID information for utilization with at least some portion of an application. The digital pass is transmitted to the user's mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10929128
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods and systems for processing of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files. More specifically, processing EDI files includes importing an EDI file into an initial data frame table. Each data segment of the EDI file can be imported into a different row of the initial data frame table and the rows and columns of the initial data frame table can comprise an array of fields. Vectorization processing can then be performed on the array of fields in the initial data frame table. A set of one or more target tables can then be populated with data from the imported EDI file based on performing the vectorization processing on the array of fields in the initial data frame table.

  • Publication number: 20200361286
Abstract: A method of rapidly increasing a temperature within a hybrid vehicle is provided. The method includes receiving an on input from a temperature control system after the vehicle engine has been turned on. In response to receiving the on input, an ambient temperature, a coolant temperature, and a battery state of charge are detected. When the ambient temperature is less than a predetermined threshold, the coolant temperature is less than a predetermined threshold, and the battery SOC is less than a predetermined threshold, a charge mode of the vehicle is changed to a charge increasing mode to thus increase the coolant temperature.

  • Publication number: 20200279498
Abstract: A method and apparatus for an augmented reality simulator for professional and educational training is provided. The simulator provides a training environment spanning one or more physical locations in which one or more virtual avatars representing purely virtual objects or persons or real physical objects or persons which are located at a different physical location are projected into the physical space. The avatars are interactive with other avatars and real objects or persons and update over time or in response to actions taken by other real or virtual elements, or based on predefined instructions. Sensors and devices are used to detect the locations of and actions taken by real persons or real objects and this sensed data is used to evolve the state of the simulation and avatars based on predefined instructions and programs and update the view of all participants.

  • Publication number: 20200134060
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods and systems for the timely processing of records exchanged between service provider systems and responsible entity systems by a records management and processing system. More specifically, the records management and processing system can maintain a set of rules defining conditions for processing records and associated actions to affect that processing upon satisfaction of or failure to satisfy the conditions of that rule. Updates to some or all of these records can be received from a data update service. The records management and processing system can apply the rules to the records and assign tags to the records based on the received update information and the conditions defined in the applied rules. The records management and processing system can then process the updated records according to workflows for processing the updated records based on the assigned tags and applied rules.

  • Publication number: 20200096149
Abstract: An assembly creates annular voids in concrete around the distal end of cylindrical tubes. A cap has a flat top and a cylindrical, depending skirt. An annular, foam plug extends between the inside of the skirt and the outer diameter of the tube. The plug has an undeformed inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the tube to create an interference fit around the tube and keep concrete out when the cap is on the end of the tube. The plug has a radial thickness of 0.3 to 1 inch, and has an axial length of 1 to 3 inches, with a bottom of the plug located at a bottom of the skirt. The cap is glued to the end of the tube for pressure testing. After the tube is entrained in concrete, the cap and plug are removed to leave a void in the concrete surface.
