  • Patent number: 11178064
Abstract: A resource allocation method includes splitting requirements into split requirements for each subsection of a physical network. The subsections of the physical network each have one of a plurality of policies applied to them. The method includes calculating a resource allocation for each of the subsections based on the split requirements, integrates a result of the allocations to determine a plurality of solutions candidates for resource allocations based on the split requirements, evaluates, for each solution candidate, compliance with the one of the plurality of policies, and selects one of the solution candidates based on the evaluation.

  • Patent number: 10868764
Abstract: A route calculation control device includes a calculator configured, among a plurality of nodes constituting a physical network having a plurality of sections to which respective policies different from each other are applied when allocating resources, based on a policy corresponding to a section including a start point node specified in a use request of the resources of the physical network, to calculate a route from the start point node to an end point node specified in the use request; and a controller configured to replace the start point node, among nodes constituting the route calculated by the calculator, with a first node included in a section different from the section including the start point node, so as to cause the calculator to calculate a route to the end point node. This enables to allocate resources to a network that includes multiple sections to which different policies are applied.

  • Patent number: 10660069
Abstract: A resource allocation device is provided that, responsive to a use request for resources of a network, the use request having a pair of nodes as terminal points designated among a plurality of nodes constituting the network, searches for one or more candidate paths between the terminal points, with which amounts of the resources related to the use request can be allocated, in a state where the resources that have been allocated to one or more other use requests are set aside from the network. The device calculates, for each of the one or more searched-for-candidate paths, in a state where the resources are allocated to the candidate path, a maximum number of paths that can be allocated between the terminal points of a virtual path related to the service, and selects the candidate path with which a sum total of the maximum numbers of paths becomes greatest.

  • Publication number: 20190199649
Abstract: Steps include splitting requirements related to use of resources of a physical network into split requirements for each of the subsections; calculating, for each of the subsections, a resource allocation that satisfies the split requirements for the subsection according to the policy applied to the subsection; integrating results of the resource allocations, to calculate multiple solution candidates for a resource allocation that satisfies the requirements for the physical network; calculating, for each of the solution candidates, for each of the subsections, a first evaluation value representing a degree to what extent the resource allocation by the solution candidate in the subsection conforms to the policy applied to the subsection; and calculating a second evaluation value obtained by giving weights to the first evaluation values calculated for the respective subsections for each of the solution candidates according to importance of the policies applied to the respective subsections, and scalarizing the w

  • Publication number: 20180279261
Abstract: A resource allocation device includes a searcher configured, in response to a use request for resources of a physical network, the use request having a pair of nodes as terminal points designated among a plurality of nodes constituting the physical network, to search for one or more candidate paths between the terminal points, with which amounts of the resources related to the use request can be allocated, in a state where the resources that have already been allocated to one or more other use requests are set aside from the physical network; a calculator configured to calculate, for each of the one or more searched-for candidate paths, in a state where the resources are allocated to the candidate path, for each of the one or more other existing use requests to which the resources have already been allocated, a maximum number of paths that can be allocated between the terminal points related to the use request; and a selector configured to select the candidate path with which a sum total of the maximum number
