    Abstract: A color conversion method that converts a spot color into a combination of a plurality of output-color values corresponding to output colors generated by an image forming apparatus, the method including: acquiring a name of the spot color; a category of the spot color, the category being one of a plurality of categories into which spot colors are classified; and an input-color value of the spot color; for each spot color; selecting a color conversion table corresponding to the acquired category out of a plurality of color conversion tables stored beforehand in a storage unit for the respective categories, each of the color conversion tables indicating a correspondence relationship between the input-color value and the combination of the output-color values; and converting the acquired input-color value into the combination of the output-color values based upon the selected color conversion table.

The controlling apparatus includes: an extracting section to extract an edge, defined as a contour of an intermediate tone object, based on the image data; a correcting section to correct a density value located in a vicinity of the edge, to make the density value high and to generate corrected image data; and a halftone-dot image data generating section to convert the corrected image data to halftone-dot image-data, which represent a halftone-dot image constituted by halftone-dots, each of which is formed by a plurality of pixels based on the corrected image data. The controlling apparatus controls the image outputting apparatus so as to output the halftone-dot image formed on the recording medium, based on the halftone-dot image data.

    Abstract: In transferring a supervisory right requirement signal in a submarine cable communication network system comprising a plurality of stations, a particular one of the stations being connected with other ones of the stations as opposite stations through submarine cables including repeaters, the particular station transmits a particular signal representative of the supervisory right requirement assigned thereto to the opposite stations through the submarine cables, respectively. Each of the opposite stations receives the particular signal as a received particular signal. Each of the opposite stations discriminates from the received particular signal that the particular signal is transmitted from the particular station. Then, each of the opposite stations returns the received particular signal to the particular station as a specific signal. The particular station receives the specific signal from each of the opposite stations as a received specific signal.
