Patent number: 4100917Abstract: A whirlpool type hydrotherapy unit includes a centrifugal pump which circulates water in a tub. The pump has a pair of outlets, one of which is a primary outlet immersed in the water to provide a whirlpool effect. A vibrating spray head accessory may be attached to a secondary outlet to provide a water spray and accompanying massage. A large volume of air is induced by aspiration to mix in with the water that discharges into the tub from the primary outlet. The pump is driven by a battery powered D. C. motor which is controlled as to speed and time of operation by solid state controls. Special circuitry also prevents operation of the motor when the battery charger is coupled to an A.C. power supply or when the voltage of the battery falls below a specified value.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1976Date of Patent: July 18, 1978Assignee: Dazey Products Co.Inventors: Henry J. Talge, Samuel L. McNair, Verne L. Zugenbuhler

Patent number: 4066797Abstract: A donut maker for home use is disclosed which provides perfectly cooked and formed donuts having excellent taste and appearance characteristics notwithstanding the complete elimination of conventional deep fat frying of the donuts. The preferred device includes a base and openable lid section each having a pair of annular metallic concave walls disposed for cooperatively defining a pair of enclosed donut-shaped cooking chambers, along with a heating element for heating quantities of donut batter confined within the chambers; two corresponding sets of oil flow apertures are provided in the lid for allowing flow of cooking oil into the chambers during heating of the batter, in order to give the finished donut products a desirable crust and true donut flavor. In preferred donut-making procedures, cooking oil is introduced into the chamber during initial stages of cooking, whereupon the oil and cooking-generated steam are displaced from the chamber as the batter cooks and rises.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 1977Date of Patent: January 3, 1978Assignee: Dazey Products CompanyInventor: Samuel L. McNair

Patent number: 3997083Abstract: A non-metallic housing is provided with an inlet adapted to be coupled with the discharge valve stem of an aerosol type lather container. The inlet communicates with a heating chamber within the housing formed by two concentric aluminum tubes contained within a sleeve formed on the inside of the housing. The tubes are heated by a heat storing electric resistance heating element located within the inner tube. Blade conductors are embedded in and extend from the outside wall of the housing for connection with a conventional wall electric outlet. The blades are connected with the heating element through a circuit which includes a timing switch which limits the time interval during which the heating element is energized.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 1974Date of Patent: December 14, 1976Assignee: Dazey Products CompanyInventor: Samuel L. Patent number: 3965495Abstract: A hollow casing presents a foot tub in which liquid is contained. An electric heating element is supported within an aluminum container which is in turn mounted within an enclosed central console on the floor of the casing. A fan cooled vibrator motor is mounted on a rigid plate which is secured to the casing a spaced distance below the floor in order to prevent side vents for cooling the motor. An upright column extends upwardly from the console to the top of the casing to provide mounting for and convenient access to a switch which controls the heating element and the motor.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1975Date of Patent: June 29, 1976Assignee: Dazey Products CompanyInventor: Samuel L. Patent number: 3942520Abstract: A foot massager has a hollow casing that includes a top panel for accommodating the feet of the user. A vibrator motor is mounted against the underside of the top panel by a bent metal strap having opposite ends that are connected to bosses projecting from the top panel. Lugs extending from the top panel prevent lateral movement of the motor. An electrically restive heating sheet is adhesively attached to the top panel and is further secured thereto by a pair of metal bands and a pair of clips.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1975Date of Patent: March 9, 1976Assignee: Dazey Products Co.Inventor: Samuel L. Patent number: 3934597Abstract: A hair curling instrument for steam treating hair wound thereon by dispensing steam through a plurality of steam passage holes includes means for inhibiting the escape of liquid through the holes. The device comprises a handle having a generally cylindrical steam tube attached thereto, and a spring biased, thumb-operated clamp mounted on the steam tube for securing the hair on the tube for curling. The steam tube includes an outer shell having a cylindrical heating tube of a smaller diameter coaxially positioned therewithin. An annular steam chamber defined between the outer shell and the heating tube receives liquid from a resilient, liquid injecting syringe which is removably and sealably attached to the opposite end of the steam tube. The syringe comprises a symmetrical squeeze bulb which is tapered to conform to the profile of the steam tube and an interconnected stem portion.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 1974Date of Patent: January 27, 1976Assignee: Dazey Products Co.Inventor: Samuel L.
