The synchronization allows devices to increase efficiency by allowing them to sleep, wake-up, send or store data traffic, and receive or transmit indicators of stored data traffic, among other actions, in a coordinated manner such that the devices are awake at the same specified times (e.g., paging windows). Devices may then stay awake to receive or transmit traffic or sleep to conserve power if there is no traffic to send or receive.
