  • Publication number: 20190315067
Abstract: Generating tool path data for use in additive manufacturing comprises providing object design data in which at least part of the object is represented abstractly using lines and/or surfaces. The lines and/or surfaces can then be used to provide tool path data for the build layers of an additive manufacturing apparatus. The tool paths can be reconfigured to reduce the overall distance travelled and/or travel time when the additive manufacturing apparatus implements the tool path data. An additive manufacturing parameter for a structural feature of the object can also be selected based on the geometry of the structural feature and specified in the tool path data.

  • Patent number: 10142126
Abstract: A first network device receives a first data packet from a registry device. The first data packet includes a destination of a first host coupled to the first network device and reachability information for a second host coupled to a second network device. The first network device stores the reachability information for the second host, which indicates that the second host is coupled to the second network device. The first network device transmits the first data packet without the reachability information to the first host. Using the reachability information for the second host, a tunnel is created from the first network device to the second network device.

  • Patent number: 7539549
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for controlling and diagnosing the health of a motorized system. The systems may comprise a diagnostics system and a controller, wherein the diagnostics system employs a neural network, an expert system, and/or a data fusion component in order to assess the health of the motorized system according to one or more attributes associated therewith. The controller may operate the motorized system in accordance with a setpoint and/or a diagnostics signal from the diagnostics system. Also disclosed are methodologies for controlling and diagnosing the health of a motorized system, comprising operating a motor in the motorized system in a controlled fashion, and diagnosing the health of the motorized system according to a measured attribute associated with the motorized system, wherein the motor may be operated according to a setpoint and/or the diagnostics signal.

  • Patent number: 7389278
Abstract: A system and method is provided for monitoring the operating condition of a pump by evaluating fault data encoded in the instantaneous current of the motor driving the pump. The data is converted to a frequency spectrum which is analyzed to create a fault signature having fault attributes relating to various fault conditions associated with the pump. The fault signature is then input to a neural network that operates in conjunction with a preprocessing and post processing module to perform decisions and output those decisions to a user interface. A stand alone module is also provided that includes an adaptive preprocessing module, a one-shot unsupervised neural network and a fuzzy based expert system to provide a decision making module that operates with limited human supervision.
