  • Patent number: 11443122
Abstract: Techniques for localization of a content presentation in an information processing system are provided. In one example, a method adapts translated content to accommodate an original content design structure (e.g., wireframe) when such translated content is inconsistent with the original content design structure. In another example, a method adapts the original content design structure when translated content is inconsistent with the original content design structure. In yet another example, an image analysis method is used to adapt translated content determined to be inconsistent with the original content design structure.

  • Patent number: 11431483
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for provisioning a device onto a network using a non-secure communication channel between the device and a provisioner is described. The provisioner receives a timestamp-based on-time password (TOTP), and a universal resource identifier (URI) from the device and provides the TOTP and an out-of-band (OOB) UUID to a remote server over a secure communication channel identified by the URI. The device is then provisioned onto a network based on comparisons of the UUID and the TOTP.

  • Patent number: 11416233
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for verification of software packages prior to deployment on an Information Handling System (IHS) are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an IHS may include a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) having computer-executable instructions for creating a partition having a unique name in response to a request from the IHS. The BMC then transmits the unique name to the IHS, and exposes the created partition to the IHS in which a software upgrade package image is copied to the partition when the exposed partition becomes available to the IHS. The BMC may then deploy the software package on the BMC, wherein the software package comprises executable instructions for operating the BMC.

  • Patent number: 11411864
Abstract: An asymmetric/symmetric IRB migration system includes an aggregated networking device subsystem with a first and second networking device that are both configured to operate according to an asymmetric IRB model. A migration system coupled to the aggregated networking device subsystem retrieves first and second asymmetric IRB attributes from the first and second networking devices, uses the first asymmetric IRB attributes to generate first symmetric IRB attributes for the first networking device, and uses the second asymmetric IRB attributes to generate second symmetric IRB attributes for the second networking device. The migration system then causes data destined for end host device(s) coupled to the aggregated networking device subsystem to be transmitted only to the first networking device, configures the first networking device using the first symmetric IRB attributes, and then configures the second networking device using the second symmetric IRB attributes.

  • Patent number: 11403688
Abstract: As an example, a software application executing on a computing device of a channel partner may access an application programming interface (API) hosted by a server to access a manufacturer's data. The computing device may provide criteria to the API to identify a subset of a set of configurations. The computing device may be used to select a particular configuration in the subset and to perform one or more modifications to the particular configuration to create a modified configuration. The computing device may use the API to access a verification module to verify whether the modified configuration can be built. If the modified configuration is unbuildable, the computing device may be used to make additional modifications to the particular configuration until the modified configuration is verified as buildable. The channel partner may place an order for a particular quantity of the modified configuration.

  • Patent number: 11379767
Abstract: As an example, a server may receive and/or retrieve news items and process the news items using natural language processing to identify news related to entities (e.g., people, locations, and organizations) extracted from an enterprise resource planning system. A term frequency-inverse document frequency algorithm may be used to identify critical news items that may impact one or more supply chains associated with at least one product that is to be manufactured. A long short-term memory artificial recurrent neural network may be used to determine a confidence score for each critical news item. The confidence scores of the critical news items may be used to adjust replenishment planning and a master build plan that includes a plan to build the at least one product. In this way, news items may be used to automatically (e.g., without human interaction) adjust the master build plan.

  • Patent number: 11366504
Abstract: In some examples, after a jack of a power supply is connected to a port of a device, a first safety chip may provide a signal that includes an amount of power sufficient to power a second safety chip located in the power supply. After receiving a message from the second safety chip, the first safety chip may send the second chip an instruction to cause relays in the power supply to transition from open to closed, causing power to be provided by the jack to the computing device. The first safety chip may repeatedly send a continue instruction requesting the second chip to keep the relays in the closed position. If the jack is disconnected from the port, the second safety chip fails to receive the continue instruction and causes the relays to transition back to the open position, stopping power from being provided by the power jack.

  • Patent number: 11347629
Abstract: In some examples, a server may retrieve and parse test results associated with testing a software package. The server may determine a weighted sum of a software feature index associated with a quality of the plurality of features, a defect index associated with the defects identified by the test cases, a test coverage index indicating a pass rate of the plurality of test cases, a release release reliability index associated with results of executing regression test cases included in the test cases, and an operational quality index associated with resources and an environment associated with the software package. The server may use a machine learning algorithm, such as a time series forecasting algorithm, to forecast a release status of the software package. The server may determine, based on the release status, whether the software package is to progress from a current phase to a next phase of a development cycle.

  • Patent number: 11348599
Abstract: A method, system, and computer-usable medium are disclosed for classifying audio detected during operation of a hard disk drive to determine the status of the hard disk drive. One general aspect of the disclosure is directed to a system in which digital audio corresponding to audio detected by an audio transducer in proximity to moving mechanical components of a hard disk drive is recorded. • Patent number: 11330313
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device initiates playback of media content on a display device. The computing device receives one or more images from a camera having a field of view that includes one or more viewers of the display device. The computing device may analyze at least one of the images and determine, based on the analysis, a micro-expression being expressed by at least one of the viewers. The computing device may determine a sentiment based on the micro-expression. A timestamp derived from the one or more images may be associated with the sentiment and sent to a server to create a sentiment map of the media content. If the sentiment matches a pre-specified sentiment then the computing device may skip playback of a remainder of a current portion of the media content that is being displayed and initiate playback of a next portion of the media content.

  • Publication number: 20220139186
Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to methods and systems for monitoring personal protection equipment (PPE) compliance. A method may comprise receiving, by a user identification (ID) module, information from sensor modules attached to PPE devices worn by the user, determining if the sensor modules indicate that the PPE devices are active or inactive, communicating the information from the user ID to a supervisor console, and displaying this information by a supervisor console. The user ID may be associated with a specific user, and the sensor modules may be associated with specific PPE devices. When it is determined that a required PPE device is inactive, corrective action may be taken by the supervisor.
