  • Patent number: 7729629
Abstract: A fixing unit that heat-fixes the toner image onto the sheet, has: an information acquisition section that acquires information concerning a factor causing the input voltage which is supplied to a heater for heating the heating roller to vary; a temperature setting section that sets a target temperature of the heater based on the information acquired by the information acquisition section; and a temperature controller that controls the temperature of the heater such that the heating roller becomes the target temperature set by the temperature setting section.

  • Publication number: 20090148212
Abstract: An embodiment provides plural rollers that rotate by sliding contact with a sheet of paper on a fixing guide. The sheet of paper supporting a toner image is guided toward a nip position of a fixing roller along the rollers of the fixing guide. At guiding by the fixing guide, the sheet of paper is not contact with a guide plate.

  • Publication number: 20090003849
Abstract: A developer image is formed by selectively supplying a developer based on a potential distribution corresponding to image information, the formed developer image is electrostatically attracted and transferred to a sheet material, the developer image is fixed to the sheet material by applying heat and pressure to the developer image transferred to the sheet material and the sheet material, and a drive force in a forward direction applied to the sheet material is cut off in a case where the sheet material is not ejected in a specified time, and then a drive force in a direction opposite to that of the drive force in the forward direction is applied for a specified time, and therefore, it is possible to prevent a sheet jammed in a fuser unit from being concealed in the fuser unit.

  • Patent number: 7444106
Abstract: A heat fixing member according to the invention has a surface layer formed on the surface of the substrate with a three-layer structure of a primer layer, an middle layer, and a topcoat layer. The binder-resin content decreases in order from the primer layer to the topcoat layer. The fluorocarbon-resin content increases in order from the primer layer to the topcoat layer. The topcoat layer is made of a fluorocarbon resin having high ability of release and a fluorocarbon resin having high abrasion resistance. Thus, the surface layer can be prevented from peeling without losing ability of release and can be decreased in abrasion.

  • Publication number: 20080003008
Abstract: There is provided a technique capable of preventing disadvantages such as defective fixing and curling of a sheet irrespective of presence or absence of a variation in the voltage value of a power source in an image forming apparatus and thereby realizing satisfactory fixing processing. a fixing unit that heat-fixes the toner image onto the sheet, has: an information acquisition section that acquires information concerning a factor causing the input voltage which is supplied to a heater for heating the heating roller to vary; a temperature setting section that sets a target temperature of the heater based on the information acquired by the information acquisition section; and a temperature controller that controls the temperature of the heater such that the heating roller becomes the target temperature set by the temperature setting section.
