  • Patent number: 7670226
Abstract: A game is divided into a plurality of charged playing sections which a player can play by paying a point and the thus divided charged playing sections are set. Game cards to which proper passwords are respectively assigned are distributed. The password is transmitted from a game playing terminal to a server, and the point corresponding to the password is set by the server. At this time, data comprising an image of a present item usable in the game is downloaded into the game playing terminal. In the game playing terminal, the image of the present item is produced and is displayed, and the server controls for allowing the player to play the charged playing section within bounds of the point which has been set on the account.

Abstract: A game is divided into a plurality of charged playing sections which a player can play by paying a point and the thus divided charged playing sections are set. Game cards 33 to which proper passwords 35 are respectively assigned are distributed. The password is transmitted from a game playing terminal 9 to a server 10, and the point corresponding to the password is set by the server. At this time, data CDP comprising an image PI of a present item 37 usable in the game is downloaded into the game playing terminal 9. In the game playing terminal, the image of the present item is produced and is displayed, and the server controls for allowing the player to play the charged playing section within bounds of the point which has been set on the account.

  • Publication number: 20050227767
Abstract: A unique ID 35 by which a distribution region can be identified is attached to a use-permission certificate 33 distributed in different regions. Different terminal devices send unique terminal device IDs to a data management device. Based on these IDs, the region in which the terminal device is installed is determined. IDs attached to use-permission certificates are sent by the terminal devices to the data management device through a communication network. Based on these IDs, the distribution regions of the use-permission certificates are determined. If the determined terminal device installation region and the use-permission certificate distribution region match, the use of data by the terminal device is allowed.

  • Patent number: 6928278
Abstract: In a communication system which can privately inform each applicant of an outcome of a game or an examination, a cell phone with a cell phone number is used to transmit, to a center or a promoter, personal identification information including the cell phone number and a total personal password. The total personal password is obtained by producing the personal identification information, by producing the result of the game or examination as a parameter, and by encrypting both the personal identification information and the result. The center extracts the personal identification information from the total personal password decrypted and collates the extracted personal identification information with the received information so as to judge whether or not a person is authentic. When confirmation is made about the fact that the person is authentic, the parameter is extracted from the total personal password to be judged. An outcome of judgement is transmitted to each person by the use of the cell phone number.

  • Patent number: 6769689
Abstract: A game device is a turn-table adapter having a clip mountable on a case, a shaft passing through one arm of the clip, an operation disk coaxially provided to the shaft at one end thereof, and a press-in disk coaxially provided to the shaft at another end thereof. Another arm of the clip is optionally provided with a bump to be fitted to a hole formed on the case to serve as an element necessary for assembling the game device. A bottom surface of the press-in disk opposite to a press-switch is formed with a bump which engages the press-switch to thereby depress the press-switch.

  • Patent number: 6468161
Abstract: The video game device which may display 2D images and pseudo 3D images without need to rewrite data in a frame buffer for a long time in a game. The frame buffer includes a display area storing images directly transferred to the monitor and a non-display area storing images used to produce the image transferred to the monitor. Only the changing parts of the images continuously displayed on the monitor are stored as small sized area in the non-display area and only the changing parts are put on the image to be displayed at a desired timing.

  • Patent number: 6428414
Abstract: In character representation whereby an actual or imaginary character is represented electronically, naked body image data showing the state of the character when not carrying or wearing any equipment at all is previously prepared, and furthermore, item image data showing the state of an item of equipment when it is applied to the naked body image data is previously prepared for each type of equipment item. When an item of equipment to be worn or carried by the character is selected, the naked body image data is composed with item image data corresponding to the item of equipment selected at the item of equipment selection state, and the composed data is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20010018366
Abstract: In a game machine, a card game is performed by displaying a plurality of cards/characters on a display device. In this game machine, an image of each card/character is divided into a plurality of partial images, and the divided partial images are stored. The partial images are then combined to create a composite card. An image creating method used in the above type of game machine and a recording medium storing a program implementing the image creating method are also be provided. Accordingly, a greater number of cards can be obtained than the original number of cards. Thus, many cards/characters can be displayed with a small memory capacity. Additionally, data concerning the partial images, such as the attacking ability indices and the defending ability indices, are determined by computations, thereby reducing the storage capacity required for storing such data.
