Abstract: Non-metallic conduit hubs are provided herein, having a flange configured for attachment to an electrical box, a receiving member extending from a first side of the flange and defining a bore sized for receiving a conduit, an indexing indicator extending radially outward from the receiving member for providing a tactile indication of an orientation of the conduit hub, and an alignment member extending from a second side of the flange and having an outer diameter sized for insertion into an ingress/egress port of the electrical box, wherein the bore extends through the receiving member, the flange, and the alignment member to facilitate routing of wires from the conduit into the electrical box.

An adapter has an open top end, an open bottom end and a passage extending between the top end and bottom end. The adapter has an outer dimension complementing a dimension of the opening in the electrical box and is received in the opening for movement between a retracted position and an extended position within the opening. The electrical box and adapter are configured for coupling and fixing the axial movement of the adapter with respect to the electrical box by rotation of the adapter to a locking position. In one embodiment, the electrical box and the adapter have interlocking teeth that mate with each other to prevent axial movement of the adapter. A locking member is provided to fix the position of the adapter relative to the electrical box to prevent rotation of the adapter.

Abstract: A tamper resistant receptacle having shutter doors engaging a toggle mechanism wherein each shutter door must engage the toggle mechanism to move the device into the open position. When engaged properly by insertion of force into both the hot and neutral openings of the device simultaneous by the hot and neutral blades of an electrical plug, the shutter doors pivot to contact the toggle platform with force sufficient to overcome a spring bias and allow the platform to descend downwardly a distance sufficient to uncover blade openings in the platform and allow the blades to engage the device's electrical contacts. If only one of the pivoting doors contacts the platform, the platform tips, or toggles, in the direction of the door which blocks the item inserted into the receptacle opening of the device from reaching the underlying electrical contact.

A plurality of device frames are positioned above the partition plates and coupled to a central support member in the electrical box and a side wall of the electrical box to support an electrical wiring device in the compartments. A cover plate having a configuration corresponding substantially to the shape of the device frame is attached to the device frame and side wall. The cover plate has an opening adapted to receive the wiring device.
