  • Publication number: 20210142870
Abstract: A processor executable method, system, and computer-readable media expedite the process of entering equations for use in developing simulations of chemical processes. The process of entering equations is expedited by dynamically inferring the dimensions of variables. The process infers the dimensions of all variables in user-added equations, and infers the dimensions of each variable in a user-added equation sequentially. The process automatically creates variables with unassigned dimensions in response to indications, such as inputs from a user, to declare new equations. The process assigns dimensions to variables based on relations between variables, such as logical relations between the dimensions of variables.

  • Patent number: 11000297
Abstract: A method and instrumentation for performing a patellofemoral arthroplasty orthopaedic procedure includes coupling an anterior cutting block to a femur of a patient such that the cutting block references local anatomy of the femur. The anterior cutting block is used to perform a number of bone cuts to establish a trochlear cavity in the femur. The trochlear cavity is formed such that a trochlear prosthesis may be inset into the cavity and substantially flush with the surrounding cartilage. A finishing burring guide and burr bit may be used to detail the shape and/or size of the trochlear cavity. Additionally, a trochlear drill guide may be used to facilitate establishing peg holes in the patient's femur to receive corresponding pegs of the trochlear prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 10796823
Abstract: A communications cable having a plurality of twisted pairs of conductors and various embodiments of a metal foil tapes between the twisted pairs and a cable jacket is disclosed. In some embodiments, a metal foil tape includes a discontinuous metal layer and a polymer layer bonded to the metal layer. Portions of the metal layer and the polymer layer are deformed to form a plurality of dimples, the dimples forming air gaps between the polymer layer and the cable core or a barrier layer if used. The air gaps lower the overall dielectric constant between the metal layer and the cable core, thereby lowering the alien capacitance of the communications cable.

  • Patent number: 10765924
Abstract: Embodiments provide a lacrosse head with a pinched ball containment area. The head includes a juncture, a stop member adjoining the juncture, first and second sidewalls extending from the stop member in a forward direction, and a transverse wall connecting the first and second sidewalls opposite to the stop member. The adjoining transverse wall and first sidewall may form a first shoulder portion and the adjoining transverse wall and second sidewall may form a second shoulder portion, with the first and second shoulder portions defining an inside widest point perpendicularly across the bisecting line. Within a certain distance from the widest point in a rearward direction, the first sidewall and the second sidewall define a ball containment width that places the frame of the lacrosse head closer to a ball than an opposing lacrosse head during a draw.
