Abstract: A method of processing a request for a plurality of Web services can include receiving a request specifying at least two Web services, storing an object pattern from the request in a common memory, and scanning the common memory with a plurality of watchers. Each watcher can be associated with a Web service and can specify a rule for invoking an associated one of the Web services. The method also can include detecting that the object pattern matches a rule of at least two of the watchers, wherein each watcher having a rule matching the object pattern invokes an associated one of the Web services.

Abstract: A method of processing a request for a plurality of Web services can include storing, in a cache, a pattern object from a request for Web services and a list of watchers that invoked Web services responsive to detecting the pattern object. The method also can include receiving a new request for Web services specifying a new pattern object and determining whether the new pattern object matches the cached pattern object. If so, each watcher in the list of watchers can invoke an associated Web service. If no match with the cached pattern object is determined, each watcher can analyze the new pattern object, such that any watcher determining that the new pattern object matches a provisioned rule invokes an associated Web service.

Abstract: Delivering interactive non-intrusive advertising content, including receiving a selection signal indicating that a user has selected an item displayed on a television screen, the item having associated non-intrusive interactive advertising content; identifying the selected item; and displaying the associated non-intrusive interactive advertising content. Embodiments typically include receiving and storing advertising data that associates the selected item with a screen region and with interactive advertising content. Receiving the advertising data often includes receiving the advertising data encoded in a video signal that includes a video image of the item. In some embodiments, the advertising data is encoded in a digital data stream separate from a video signal, and receiving the advertising data is carried out by receiving the data stream through a digital network.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for destination device initiated callee identification are provided. A voice utterance of a callee is detected at a destination device. Then, a callee identity associated with the voice utterance is identified at the destination device, such that the callee identity is transmittable as an authenticated identity of the callee for a call. A caller receiving the callee identity may decide whether to open communication with the callee or terminate the call. The destination device may access a third party device for authenticating the caller identity according to the voice utterance, where the third party device may be accessible across multiple destination devices via a network.

Abstract: A method, system, and program for origin device initiated caller identification are provided. A voice utterance is detected at an origin device. A caller identity associated with the voice utterance is identified at the origin device, such that the caller identity is transmittable as an authenticated identity of the caller for a call. An intermediary device receives the caller identity with a call request and specifies services available to the caller according to a caller service profile associated with the caller identity.
