Abstract: Disclosed are a display device and method for image processing. An image processing method of a display device according to the present invention includes: a step of receiving an input of a plurality of image frames configuring content; a step of analyzing the plurality of image frames to determine a motion of a camera capturing an image of the content; a step of determining a sense of motion sickness on the basis of the camera motion captured; and a step of performing image processing on the plurality of image frames on the basis of the camera motion, when the determined sense of motion sickness is equal to or greater than a predefined value. Accordingly, the display device can reduce the sense of motion sickness for image content having a high possibility of inducing a sense of motion sickness.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a method of an appliance, including receiving prediction information indicating a predicted failure of the appliance, obtaining a schedule for which use of a repair service for repairing the predicted failure based on the prediction information is available, transmitting a signal for requesting maintenance information used to delay the predicted failure and maintain a normal operation of the appliance if the obtained schedule is after a predicted failure time point indicated by the prediction information, receiving the maintenance information, and operating based on the maintenance information.

Abstract: A vehicle display device and a control method thereof are provided. The present vehicle display device comprises: a camera for photographing a driver; a sensing unit for measuring the distance to an external object; a display for providing operating information of a vehicle; and a processor, which analyzes an image captured through a camera so as to track a driver's gaze, determines an external object present at the location at which the tracked driver's gaze is directed, calculates the distance to the determined object through the sensing unit, and controls the display such that the operating information is displayed on the basis of the driver's gaze and the distance to the object.

The method includes acquiring, from at least one home device, a unique user identifier (UUID) for a related home device, a peer ID (peer ID) which is managed by a connectivity server for managing a connection between the user device and the related home device and that identifies the related home device, a peer group ID for identifying a group of home devices that have registered with a service server for managing device information on the related home device, and a device token containing key information for authenticating the connection to the related home device, selecting a specific user device which will share the UUID, peerID, peer group ID and device token from among neighboring devices, and transferring the UUID, peerID, peer group ID, and device token to the specific user device on the basis of a predetermined sharing method.

Abstract: To solve the problems that may occur due to the leakage of user account information, the present disclosure may manage the security using the device token that is used independently of that of the server, that is generated by a home device, and that can be used for device authentication when a smart phone controls home appliances. With the use of the device token, the present disclosure may solve the problems that the status information of home appliances is exposed by another person or the home appliances are controlled by another person, even though the user account information is leaked.
