Abstract: Described herein are several embodiments of a tool for use in making templates for countertops. For example, according to one embodiment, a countertop template clip includes a cabinet wall receiving portion and a template receiving portion. The cabinet wall receiving portion can be removably engaged with a cabinet wall. The template receiving portion is coupled to the cabinet wall receiving portion and can be removably engaged with a template piece. The cabinet wall receiving portion is removably engageable with a cabinet wall and the template receiving portion is removably engageable with a template piece such that the template piece is positionable to define a predetermined overhang relative to the cabinet wall.

Abstract: A nonlinear frequency conversion system includes a first element including a first medium configured to perform type II birefringent phase matching (BPM) of a pump beam to provide corresponding seed beams having at least first and second polarization states. A second element includes a second medium configured to perform quasi phase matching (QPM) of the seed beams. The second element amplifies at least one of the seed beams to provide corresponding output beams, and at least one of the output beams has a predetermined wavelength that is different from the wavelength of the pump beam. The nonlinear frequency conversion system can be implemented in an optical resonator to provide an optical parametric oscillator.

Abstract: A sample treatment system for automated extraction of compounds is disclosed. The system includes a housing defining an enclosure including a top cover having open ended chambers to receive sample plates on an interposed carriage frame, an automated shuttle means for lateral transportation and vertical lifting of the carriage frame to selectively address the chamber below the sample plate for the throughpassage of fluid from the sample plate and urged by a vacuum pump for evacuating air from a chamber to a degree below atmospheric pressure for through passage of fluid from the sample plate to either a waste plate or a collection plate. The shuttle means includes motor drives for precisely laterally and vertically positioning the carriage frame.
