  • Patent number: 10908592
Abstract: A laser machining method includes obtaining attribute information indicating a distribution of an attribute of a workpiece in a machined area of the workpiece, dividing a shape of a radiation locus into divided areas, and adjusting, based on the attribute information and in each of the divided areas, at least one of a locus velocity of a laser from a head configured to variably make the radiation locus on the workpiece using the laser, and an output of the laser from the head. The head is moved by a robot configured to move the head.

  • Publication number: 20200406392
Abstract: An evaluation apparatus includes an obtaining circuit, a detecting circuit, a generating circuit, and an evaluating circuit. The obtaining circuit is configured to obtain track information indicating positions of a laser target spot in relation to time. The laser target spot is made by a laser beam on a workpiece for welding. The detecting circuit is configured to detect intensity information indicating intensities of return light in relation to time. The return light is generated by radiating the laser beam onto the workpiece. The generating circuit is configured to generate intensity distribution information indicating the intensities corresponding to the positions by correlating the track information and the intensity information based on time. The evaluating circuit is configured to evaluate a welding state of the welding based on the intensity distribution information.

  • Patent number: 10873739
Abstract: A calibrating method includes controlling a laser radiator to radiate calibration laser light to an object such that a pattern is projected in a laser coordinate system with respect to the laser radiator; controlling a camera to obtain a first image of first light points of the calibration laser light projected on a surface of the object when the object is in a first position; and controlling the camera to obtain a second image of second light points of the calibration laser light projected on the surface of the object when the object is in the second position. A positional relationship between the laser coordinate system and the camera coordinate system is calculated based on the three-dimensional positions of the first light points and the three-dimensional positions of the second light points.

  • Publication number: 20190143448
Abstract: A laser machining method includes obtaining a movement direction in which a head that variably makes a shape of a radiation locus using a laser is being moved by a robot that causes the head to move along a machining line, and adjusting the radiation locus made by the head to keep a constant relative angle between the movement direction obtained by the obtaining and a representative angle of the shape of the radiation locus.
