    Abstract: A fuel injection valve is mounted in a cylinder head by being inserted in an insertion hole provided in the cylinder head. A shoulder section is provided at the inlet portion of the insertion hole to be expanded in an annular shape. The fuel injection valve is provided with a stepped section expanded in diameter in a tapered manner to have a tapered surface facing the shoulder section. A vibration insulator is disposed between the stepped section and the shoulder section. The vibration insulator is provided with a circular annular tolerance ring making contact with the tapered surface of the fuel injection valve. A circular annular sleeve section coaxial with the tolerance ring is integrally formed on the tolerance ring to extend from the surface of a portion of the tolerance ring, the portion not facing the tapered surface of the fuel injection valve.

    Abstract: A vibration insulator which can compensate for axial eccentricity occurring in a fuel injection valve and suppress vibrations of the valve during operation of a combustion engine and a support structure for the valve. The vibration insulator is interposed between a step height portion of the valve and a shoulder portion. The step height portion is increased in diameter in a tapered fashion and inserted into an insertion hole of a cylinder head. The shoulder portion is annularly extended in an inlet portion of the insertion hole opposed to the step height portion. The vibration insulator includes an annular tolerance ring on an inner circumferential inclined face thereof with recessed tapered faces opposed to the tapered face of the step height portion and which abuts the tapered face. The taper angles of the tolerance ring and of the step height portion are set so as to be different.

    Abstract: A longitudinally-endless gasket mounted into a groove portion formed in one of members to provide sealing between this one member and another of the members when they are fastened to each other. The gasket has a sectional shape corresponding to a sectional shape of the groove portion with a ratio (H/W) between a height (H) and a width (W) of the sectional shape being 0.8 to 5.0. The gasket is provided with a plurality of large projecting portions at intervals of 30 to 100 mm and a plurality of small projecting portions at intervals of 5 to 15 mm in a longitudinal direction of the gasket. A width (R2) of each large projecting portion is larger than a width (X) of the groove portion by 0.01 to 0.9 mm. A width (R1) of each small projecting portion is smaller than the width (X) of the groove portion by 0.01 to 0.6 mm.     Abstract: The invention provides a process for forming a magnetic thin film on a base film, a heat treatment process of a thin film sheet consisting of the base film and the magnetic thin film, and an apparatus for performing heat treatment of the thin film sheet. Tension applied to the thin film sheet is substantially equal to that applied to the base film when the magnetic thin film is formed thereon. Then, the thin film sheet is treated with heat. The thin film sheet is heated with a given temperature gradient to a reactive temperature at which heat shrinkage occurs, while the tension is being applied thereto. Thereafter, the thin film sheet to which the tension is still applied is cooled with substantially the same temperature gradient as applied in heating.

    Abstract: This invention is for a tape cassette having window for insertion of a magnetic head and a pinch roller formed extending from a peripheral wall of the housing of the tape cassette to one of the holding plates which holds a pair of reel hubs in place. The device according to this invention has a shutter member, and a resilient metal wire housed in the housing. The shutter member has projections which are to be engaged with an engaging member provided on a tape cassette holder member of the magnetic tape transport apparatus. The metal wire urges the shutter member to close a portion of the window formed in the holding plate. When the cassette is loaded into the loading member, the projections engage with the engaging member and the shutter member releases the closing state of the holding plate forming portion of the window against an urging force of the wire.

    Abstract: In a magnetic tape-automatic tracking method, at least one of the positions of the upper and lower edges of a magnetic tape is detected by an assembly of a tape edge position sensor and light-emitting diode. Any displacement of the running magnetic tape from its standard vertical position is determined from detected data. A generally vertical tape edge position-compensating post which applies a tensile force to the magnetic tape in contact therewith is rotated in a vertical plane by a reversible motor in accordance with the detected extent of the displacement of the running magnetic tape from its standard vertical position. The magnitude of a tensile force applied by the tape edge position-compensating post to the magnetic tape is varied, by the extent of the rotation of the reversible motor. As a result, the magnetic tape is vertically moved in the desired direction to regain its standard vertical position.

    Abstract: A magnetic cassette tape record and play apparatus wherein the magnetic head thereof is fixed, comprises a push member cooperating with an operation button and which is so disposed as to abut against a pad spring received in a tape cassette. When the tape cassette is loaded or ejected in the stop mode, the push member is pressed against the pad spring to deform it against its urging force, thereby locking the cassette tape in a position untouched by the magnetic head. When the operation button is depressed for the recording or reproduction mode, then the push member is removed from the pad spring, thereby causing the pressure pad to be pressed against the magnetic head with the cassette tape disposed between the pressure pad and the magnetic head.

    Abstract: A device for stably running a magnetic recording tape of a tape cassette comprises a reel shaft and a motor connected to the reel shaft. The reel shaft and the motor make a running of the magnetic recording tape providing back tension exerted on the magnetic recording tape. Within the housing of the tape cassette, a first lever having one end rotatably fixed to the housing is mounted. A guide roller for guiding the running direction of the tape is rotatably fixed to another end of the first lever. Therefore, the first lever may swing in response to a back tension exerted on the tape. An amount of the swing of the first lever is detected by a second lever which is rotably located out of the housing and selectably engaged with the first lever. The second lever is connected to the detection means which generates an electric signal in accordance with the amount of rotation of the second lever. The electric signal is sent to the electric controlling circuit means electrically connected to the motor.

    Abstract: A flat miniature dynamoelectric machine comprises a flat rotor with an assembled coreless coil, a commutator having an exposed portion for sliding contact with brushes and integrally carrying the rotor, a shaft on which the commutator is mounted together with the rotor, a housing including bearing means for rotatably supporting and housing the shaft together with the rotor and the commutator mounted thereon, one end of the shaft projecting externally of the housing, a magnet disposed within the housing in opposing relationship with the peripheral surface or end face of the rotor, electrically conductive brushes located within the housing for sliding contact with the exposed portion of the commutator, and a thrust bearing plate mounted on the housing in bearing engagement with the opposite end of the shaft. The thrust bearing plate facilitates close control over the mounting position of the shaft, thereby stabilizing the positional relationship between the various parts.
