  • Patent number: 10492464
Abstract: A livestock farming system for use in connection with feed for livestock and including at least one livestock-related device to carry out a livestock-related action on the feed and a controller to control the livestock farming system and generate information messages, and with a communication system. The livestock farming system is configured to define a parameter value relating to the condition of the person, and the controller is configured to send communication messages with the communication system and/or make cognizable said messages to the person depending on the defined parameter value. Since the livestock farming system can assess the condition of the receiving person, the system can make a choice in the sending and/or communicating of the information to the person, so that it can be better guaranteed that the information to be sent will be effectively processed, and is not disregarded or incorrectly processed because the person is, for example, suffering from a high level of stress.

  • Publication number: 20170150694
Abstract: A dairy farming system for use in a livestock building environment for dairy animals and including at least one dairy animals-related device to carry out a dairy animals-related action, in particular on one or more of the dairy animals, and a controller to control the dairy farming system, with a communication system comprising a first communication device, and a second communication device wearable by a person. The dairy farming system is configured to define a parameter value of a parameter relating to the condition of the person, and the controller is configured to generate an information message and make, on the second communication device, the message cognizable to the person depending on the defined parameter.

  • Patent number: 9609848
Abstract: A method of and system for localizing, and displaying positions of, one or more autonomously mobile objects within plural physically delimited areas, having physical boundaries, in an animal housing. The method includes determining a position of at least one of the objects within the animal housing; displaying the position of the at least one object on a map of the animal housing on a visual display device; and validating the determined position before displaying the position. The validating includes: correcting the determined position into a corrected position within the physically delimited area, and providing the corrected position as the position to be displayed, or otherwise providing the determined position as the position to be displayed. The correction may be dependent on object type and/or status.

  • Publication number: 20170006817
Abstract: A dairy farming system comprises at least one milking device for obtaining milk from dairy animals by means of a milking process, a control unit for controlling the at least one milking device, and a data input for automatically receiving data relating to milk which was obtained earlier and supplied to an external party. The data comprises at least one content of a substance in the milk and/or at least one physical or chemical property of the milk, and a quantity value of the milk, the milking device has at least one adjustable parameter relating to the milking process, the control unit automatically processes at least part of the received data to obtain at least one control parameter value, and the control unit automatically adjusts at least one of the at least one parameter of the milking device on the basis of the at least one control parameter value.

  • Patent number: 9320257
Abstract: The invention includes an assembly to provide an animal access to a space. The assembly includes an entrance gate which, in a first position provides access to the space and, in a second position, blocks the access to the space. The assembly further includes a measuring device configured to measure a walking speed of the animal, and to transmit a signal indicative of the measured walking speed. The assembly also includes a control device configured to receive the signal from the measuring device, and to control the entrance gate depending on the received signal. By using the measured walking speed of the animal, the control device can, for example, close the entrance gate sooner or close it more quickly if there is a threat of an animal being crushed.

The correction may be dependent on object, type and/or status. Providing corrected positions allows a more efficient and reliable management of the animal housing.

  • Patent number: 9179641
Abstract: A barn in which dairy animals can freely move about, lie down and eat includes a floor, a light-transmitting roof construction, and a wall construction. The floor consists for the greater part of a moisture absorbing, pourable layer which is able to collect moisture from manure and urine. This moisture is removed by means of solar heat and wind drying, and if this is not sufficient, by means of a floor heating. There is thus only required a very limited stationary sub-floor with a manure collecting device, i.e. only below the milking implement.
