  • Patent number: 5068987
Abstract: This invention concerns a box (receptacle) for holding and displaying photographs, in the form of a somewhat flattened parallelepiped, inside which one or more tidily stacked photographs of suitable format can fit exactly, and the first of which, starting from the top of the pile, is clearly visible from the outside of the box, in that the lid of the latter possesses a sizeable central window closed by a sheet of transparent material, thus obtaining the optical effect of making said photograph-holding box into a simple photograph frame, without giving any clues that would enable its primary function as a photograph holder to be seen or surmised. The box for holding photographs, according to the invention, is characterized by certain constructional aspects that render both its use and assembly particularly simple.

  • Patent number: 4750697
Abstract: A separable hook for a hanger (for garments) is pivotably mounted to the hanger about a horizontal axis, so that when the hanger is not in use, the hook may be swiveled about the horizontal axis and folded or collapsed within the frame or main body portion of the hanger, thereby saving space for storage or shipment of the hanger. Additionally, the hook includes a base portion and a hook portion pivotably mounted to each other about a vertical axis. With this arrangement, when the hanger with its garment is in use, that is, attached to the hook and the hook received on a fixed horizontal support, the hanger (with its garment thereon) may be swiveled about the vertical axis.

  • Patent number: 4714183
Abstract: A unitary molded-plastic hanger is intended for multiple purposes. The hanger includes: (1) a frame or body portion adapted for holding a coat, etc.; (2) a lower horizontal cross bar provided with slidably adjustable pegs for holding trousers; (3) a pair of L-shaped molded brackets within the frame, the brackets having laterally-extending upturned ends disposed above the cross bar for holding a shirt or the like; (4) and a molded bracket integrally joined with one of the L-shaped brackets and disposed substantially centrally of the frame for holding ties. The hanger has a pair of V-shaped diametrically-opposed slots formed therein continuously thereof, and the pegs on the cross bar have respective opposed teeth engaged in the V-shaped slots, respectively, thereby precluding substantial relation of the pegs relative to the cross bar.

  • Patent number: 4511057
Abstract: The instant invention relates to a cap for the temporary closure of cans, often called "tin cans", which are currently one of the most used forms of containers for the distribution of drinks in general. It is essentially a rigid piece of moulded plastic, of an irregular shape, with four rigid hooked teeth protruding from its underside. Said teeth are all found on the same circumference, equal to the circular rim of the tin can, over and under which the aforesaid teeth hook. This hooking action may occur with a snap in that two of the four aforesaid rigid teeth are situated underneath a rigid bracket attached to the aforesaid rigid piece by two small, thin flexible bridges.
