  • Publication number: 20200090598
Abstract: A display device includes a backlight unit including a plurality of light emitting blocks, a first controller configured to generate first block representative value information for first pixel blocks based on first image data, and a second controller configured to generate second block representative value information for second pixel blocks based on second image data. The first controller receives the second block representative value information from the second controller, and the second controller receives the first block representative value information from the first controller. The first and second controllers generate duty information for the plurality of light emitting blocks based on the first and second block representative value information, and generate light profile information of the backlight unit. The first controller compensates the first image data based on the light profile information, and the second controller compensates the second image data based on the light profile information.

  • Patent number: 9947285
Abstract: A voltage converter includes a conversion unit, a self driver and an output unit. The conversion unit includes at least one inductor and provides a boosting power based on an input voltage and a first driving signal. The self driver includes at least one inductor that forms a magnetic coupling with the at least one inductor of the conversion unit. The self driver generates a second driving signal that is synchronized with the first driving signal through the magnetic coupling. The output unit generates an output voltage based on the boosting power and the second driving signal. Switching loss and conduction loss may be reduced by replacing an output diode with an output transistor and voltage spike and electromagnetic interference may be reduced through zero voltage switching. The driving signal of the output transistor may be controlled efficiently by adjusting the inductance of the driving inductor.

  • Publication number: 20060235160
Abstract: A water-borne resin composition for polyolefin is obtained by graft polymerizing polypropylene chloride resin having a chlorine degree of about 10-40% and an acryl monomer. First, polypropylene chloride resin solution is prepared by mixing about 5-30 parts by weight of polypropylene chloride resin having a chlorine degree of about 10-40 and about 5-30 parts by weight of a hydrophilic solvent. Then, an acryl monomer solution is prepared by mixing about 70-95 parts by weight of an acryl monomer, a solvent and an initiator. The acryl monomer solution is dropped into the polypropylene resin solution at a temperature of about 80-130° C. and thus obtained product is neutralized and diluted. The composition has a good adhesiveness onto polyolefin, so that the composition may be applied as a water-borne paint composition for polyolefin-based substrate.

  • Publication number: 20060235138
Abstract: In order to prepare an alkaline expansive core-shell emulsion resin composition applicable to an aqueous base coat paint composition for an automobile using a urethane aqueous dispersion as an emulsifying agent, first, anionic urethane aqueous dispersion having an acid value of about 50-150 mgKOH/g is prepared. Then, an alkaline expansive core-shell emulsion resin is prepared by using the urethane aqueous dispersion as an emulsifying agent. Flowing or stain after coating may be prevented when using a paint composition prepared by using thus prepared emulsion resin. Water-resistance of a coating layer and alignment of metallic particles are improved.

  • Patent number: 6644772
Abstract: Disclosed are an inkjet multifunction device having a function of attempting to correct malfunctioning nozzles. The inkjet multifunction device includes a printing unit for printing a test pattern, a scanner for scanning the printed test pattern, and a control unit for determining whether respective nozzles in the printing unit malfunction based on the scanned test pattern. The control unit controls the printing unit in order for the nozzles determined as malfunctioned to perform spitting. The determination on whether the nozzles malfunction and the purging of the nozzles are repeatedly performed by the predetermined number of times, and the test step stops if it is determined that all the nozzles normally operate after the repetition operation. Paper and ink can be saved since the purging is selectively performed only on nozzles deemed to be malfunctioning, and meaningless testing and purging operations are prevented from occurring in the case of where there is an absence of malfunctioning nozzles.
