Patent number: 7669636Abstract: A method of reducing glare from oncoming vehicle headlights is provided comprising providing an attachment for a vehicle having a front windshield, a driver's side and a passenger side, the attachment comprising a slatted blind having a plurality of horizontally-oriented slats extending between a headrail and a bottom rail, a flexible cord ladder connected between the headrail and bottom rail and supporting the slats, and a rotating means for rotation of the slats from opened to closed. Securing the slatted blind with mounting means connected to the headrail to an upper portion of the inside of the vehicle's front windshield on the driver's side such that the attachment has a width less than 30 percent of the horizontal width of the vehicle's front windshield and the passenger side is uncovered. Driving the vehicle on a surface that can have oncoming traffic.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2007Date of Patent: March 2, 2010Inventor: Seymour C. Yuter

Patent number: 5215156Abstract: A vehicle having an electro-generating system which includes a dynamoelectric generator. The shaft of the dynamoelectric generator is linked directly or indirectly with the rotating axle of the road wheels of the vehicle, preferably via a mechanical turns amplifier. The turns amplifier will multiply the rotation rate of the electro-generating system and increase the production capacity of electric power. The dynamoelectric generator can be utilized to recharge a storage battery driving the vehicle while the car is in motion, especially automatically when the vehicle is going down hill. The vehicle's electric motor can be driven directly from a dynamoelectric generator in place of a storage battery after the vehicle is moving. In railroad cars (freight and passenger) the electro-generating system can be utilized to charge storage batteries, with their electricity utilized for other electro-energy requirements.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 1992Date of Patent: June 1, 1993Assignee: Nathan StulbachInventors: Nathan Stulbach, Seymour C. Patent number: 5193648Abstract: A restaurant construction system comprising a building having a first floor. A second floor consists of a terrace on three sides of the building forming an atrium between the terrace and the fourth side of the building. Both floors have dining tables and chairs with a telephone on a console on each table. An order-taking post is supported along the fourth side of the building slightly higher than the second floor terrace level and extends into the atrium so that substantially all of the tables on the first floor including those beneath the terrace as well as substantially all of the tables on the terrace can be seen. Thus an order-taking person with a telephone in the order-taking post can see a patron at any of the tables while taking his or her order over the phone, and enter the order on an input terminal of a fine dining restaurant computer system. The bar is positioned below the order-taking post.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1991Date of Patent: March 16, 1993Inventor: Seymour C. Yuter

Patent number: 4800438Abstract: A restaurant telephone console comprising a U-shaped chassis mounted upwards on a pipe above a table and supporting a speaker, lamp bulbs, telephone chime and TV set over which fits a translucent circular lampshade support on which is mounted a telephone, audio and lamp controls and a push-button switch for selecting audio and video signals. Food and drink orders may be taken over the telephone. The audio and video signals include music, daily specials and major TV events. An alarm is activated if the lampshade support is pulled from the chassis. The speaker is mounted cone down on the chassis and the audio is emitted from the chassis' open ends. When the telephone is rung, the chime activates and the lamp bulbs go out. The area of the lampshade support in front of the TV screen is transparent and may comprise a magnifying lens. The console is rotatable to face the phone and TV screen toward a patron at the table.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 1987Date of Patent: January 24, 1989Inventor: Seymour C. Yuter

Patent number: 4694486Abstract: The specfication and drawings disclose a combined telephone-lamp-speaker system for use in a restaurant having a telephone ordering system. An integral support structure is adapted to be supported on a table, or on a wall adjacent a table. Mounted on the support structure are a lamp enclosure, a telephone and a speaker. Telephone ring current detection means responds to telephone ring current to interrupt the lamp light to signal that the phone is being rung. The speaker is mounted wthin the lamp enclosure. Switching means permit the feeding of a telephone conversation into the audio amplifier which drives the speaker so that a telephone conversation can be played on the speaker. Additional disclosed features include a cable of sufficient length to extend via a hole in the table though a pedestal and past the pedestal's base to be plugged into the central cable system and then retracted beneath the base.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 1984Date of Patent: September 15, 1987Inventor: Seymour C. Yuter

Patent number: 4518821Abstract: Disclosed are multiple combined telephone-speaker-lamp units for use in a restaurant having a telephone ordering system. A telephone switch board permits the feeding of a telephone conversation into the audio amplifier which drives the speakers so that a telephone conversation on other phones can be played on the speakers. The lamp blinks in response to telephone ringing current fed to the associated telephone. A lever-operated snap switch is responsive to the ringing current to blink the lamp. Each combined unit has a cable of sufficient length to extend via a hole in the table supporting the unit through a pedestal and past the pedestal's base to be plugged into the central cable system and then retracted beneath the base.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 1983Date of Patent: May 21, 1985Inventor: Seymour C.
