Abstract: A mechanism is described for facilitating dynamic detection and intelligent use of segmentation on flexible display screens according to one embodiment. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes detecting, via one or more touch sensors, alterations in current in and around one or more areas of a flexible display screen, where the alterations represent pressure being applied to cause at least one of bending, rolling, and curving of the flexible display screen at the one or more areas. The method may further include dividing the flexible display screen into a plurality of zones corresponding to the one or more areas, where the marking/dividing logic is further to mark a plurality of portions of the plurality of zones to serve as a plurality of segments. The method may further include facilitating displaying of contents via the plurality of segments of the flexible display screen.

  • Patent number: 9944390
Abstract: Technologies for managing assets of a data center include a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communicatively coupled to a remote computing device. The UAV is configured to navigate throughout a data center and capture data center mapping information during the navigation usable to generate a three-dimensional (3D) model of the data center. The UAV is further configured to transmit the captured data center mapping information to a remote computing device. Accordingly, the UAV can receive instructions from a remote computing device that define a type of task to be performed by the UAV in the data center and perform such a task (e.g., a data center map update task, an asset inventory task, a maintenance task, a visual inspection task, etc.) based on the received task instructions. Other embodiments are described and claimed herein.

  • Patent number: 9942295
Abstract: Technologies for crowdsourced media streaming include a number of mobile computing devices configured to capture media streams and transmit the media streams to a media server. The media server associates the media streams with metadata describing the media streams, including metadata describing an event captured in the media stream. The media server also processes the media streams to generate additional metadata. A number of client computing devices may submit media stream requests to the media server, and the media server contemporaneously streams matching media streams to the client computing devices as the media streams are captured by the mobile computing devices. The client computing devices may transmit feedback information relating to the media stream to the source mobile computing device via the media server. The client computing devices may display the media streams alongside or overlaying other media such as a broadcast media event. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9928447
Abstract: The examiner has taken the exact language in WO 2015/094370 A1 to transcribe it: Systems, apparatus, and methods to determine relationships, group memberships, and social networks and circles automatically through an analysis of media content, such as photos or videos, and ascertaining the connections between individuals or groups. Embodiments include identifying individuals in photos with or without other people in different situations, and developing a context based on objects in the photo. The extracted context may be stored in a predefined ontology structure in a database and analyzed to determine relationships or group memberships. A database of automatically determined relationships may be analyzed in order to provide relationship recommendations, social advice, or to support law enforcement investigations. The database may be continuously updated with additional information provided by individuals or obtained through a secondary social network that includes user media or social information.

  • Patent number: 9858923
Abstract: Generally, this disclosure provides systems, devices, methods and computer readable media for adaptation of language models and semantic tracking to improve automatic speech recognition (ASR). A system for recognizing phrases of speech from a conversation may include an ASR circuit configured to transcribe a user's speech to a first estimated text sequence, based on a generalized language model. The system may also include a language model matching circuit configured to analyze the first estimated text sequence to determine a context and to select a personalized language model (PLM), from a plurality of PLMs, based on that context. The ASR circuit may further be configured to re-transcribe the speech based on the selected PLM to generate a lattice of paths of estimated text sequences, wherein each of the paths of estimated text sequences comprise one or more words and an acoustic score associated with each of the words.
