    Abstract: Technologies for sensor action verification include a local computing device to receive a request for the local computing device to perform a sensor action from a remote computing device. The local computing device verifies the received request to confirm that the remote computing device is authorized to request the local computing device to perform the sensor action and performs, by a sensor controller of the local computing device, the requested sensor action in response to verification of the received request. The sensor controller manages operation of one or more sensors of the local computing device. The local computing device transmits a response message to the remote computing device indicating whether the requested sensor action has been performed by the sensor controller of the local computing device.

    Abstract: Technologies for mirror adjustment include an in-vehicle computing system of a vehicle to determine a position of a feature of a face of a driver of the vehicle in an image captured by a camera of the vehicle. The in-vehicle computing system determines a position of the feature of the face of the driver relative to a mirror of the vehicle based on configuration data of the vehicle and the captured image. The in-vehicle computing system further determines an angle between the feature of the face of the driver, the mirror, and an ideal normal of the mirror. The configuration data identifies a location of the camera relative to the mirror, and the ideal normal is an imaginary line normal to the mirror and extending therefrom when the mirror is positioned in a reference position. The in-vehicle computing system adjusts an orientation of the mirror based on the determined angle.

    Abstract: Systems and methods may provide for identifying a first position of a rear-view mirror, wherein the first position provides a target field of view. Additionally, a second position may be determined for the rear-view mirror in response to a travel related tilt of the rear-view mirror and the rear-view mirror may be automatically adjusted to the second position, wherein the second position provides the target field of view after the travel related tilt. In one example, the travel related tilt is detected based on one or more sensor signals.

    Abstract: Apparatus, computer-readable storage medium, and method associated with orienting a display image are described. In embodiments, a computing device may include a speech recognition module to process and recognize a voice command and a voice command module coupled with the speech recognition module. The voice command module may be configured to select, in response to recognition of an initial portion of the voice command, a plurality of voice commands having the same initial portion. The voice recognition module may be further configured to initiate execution of or stage for execution individual voice commands of the plurality of voice commands. On recognition of the entire voice command, the voice command module may be configured to select a result of the execution of an individual voice command or initiate execution of a staged for execution voice command.

    Abstract: A sensor input into a first near field communication (NFC) device, such as an accelerometer input resulting from a rapid motion of the first NFC device to the right, is associated with a function of a second NFC device, such as a zoom function. The first NFC device is brought into proximity to a second NFC device and an NFC operation is launched. If the sensor input into the first NFC device is detected during a time window including the NFC launch time, the first NFC device communicates instructions to the second NFC device to execute the function, and the function is executed by the second NFC device.
