Patent number: 12050156Abstract: The sealing arrangement includes a connecting device and one or more housing parts of a housing unit for enclosing of a component, typically an attachment component forming a head of the connecting device. The gas permeable end formed in such component can be isolated, so that the sealing arrangement is adapted for use in detecting a detectable gas in a hermetically sealed detection chamber. Thanks to a sealing structure configured at a passageway for the fastening of the connecting device, a housing unit is obtained with a tight radial contact around an intermediate portion of the connecting device. The device is fitted with a flexible hose end, preferably at a barbed nozzle forming the end at the opposite from the gas permeable end. With such arrangement, the hose mounting can be tested for its integrity.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2022Date of Patent: July 30, 2024Assignee: SARTORIUS STEDIM FMT SASInventors: Florian Blake, Frederic Bazin, Shahmir Fatherazi, Michael Braun, Nicolas Thevenin, Marc Hogreve

Patent number: 11255452Abstract: A valve includes a longitudinally movable valve body that is arranged in the valve, wherein the valve housing has at least two guide grooves, with which auxiliary guide elements, arranged on the valve body, engage an exterior surface of the valve housing. The guide grooves of the valve housing are shaped such that they define a combined translatory and rotary movement path of the valve body with the aid of the auxiliary guide elements in order to open or close the valve.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: February 22, 2022Assignee: SARTORIUS STEDIM BIOTECH GMBHInventors: Shahmir Fatherazi, Ralf Lausch, Thomas Loewe, Ellen Schuessler

Patent number: 8951785Abstract: A stirrer for a bioreactor has first and second opposed mountings fastened to the inner surfaces of opposite walls of the bioreactor and disposed along a common rotational axis. A first arm has an end connected to the first mounting for rotation about the rotational axis and for pivoting about a first pivot axis that is transverse to the rotational axis. A second arm has an end connected to the second mounting for rotation about the rotational axis and for pivoting about a second pivot axis that is transverse to the rotational axis. Ends of the arms are coupled for pivoting about at least one additional pivot axis that is transverse to the rotational axis.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2009Date of Patent: February 10, 2015Assignee: Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbHInventors: Shahmir Fatherazi, Gerhard Greller, Oscar-Werner Reif

Patent number: 8746515Abstract: A closure for a container has an upper part (1) that can be connected to the container. The upper part (1) has an opening (2) and an outer hollow body (3). An inner hollow body (4) is arranged coaxially in the outer hollow body (3) with an intermediate space therebetween. A lower part (7) in the form of a hollow body can be displaced longitudinally in the intermediate space. A plug (5) is held coaxially in the lower part (7) and opens or closes the opening as the lower part (7) is displaced longitudinally in the intermediate space.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2009Date of Patent: June 10, 2014Assignee: Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbHInventors: Shahmir Fatherazi, Gerhard Greller, Oscar-Werner Reif, Magali Barbaroux, Michael Bates
