  • Patent number: 5985189
Abstract: A refrigeration apparatus cabinet has an outer shell and an inner liner to define an insulation space therebetween. There is an opening through a wall of the liner and opening into the insulation space. An opening through a wall of the shell opens into the insulation space. A wiring harness is provided in the insulation space. The wiring harness comprises a pair of electrical plug-in connectors and a plurality of conductors extending therebetween, one connector being received in the liner wall opening and the other connector being received in the shell wall opening. Foamed-in-place insulation is provided in the insulation space, the connectors sealing the liner wall opening and the shell wall opening to prevent leakage of the foamed-in-place insulation.

  • Patent number: 5335988
Abstract: A refrigeration apparatus cabinet has an outer shell and an inner liner to define an insulation space therebetween. The shell has a deck including an enlarged opening. A conduit extends downwardly along a rear wall of the liner, with a distal end extending through the deck opening. A foil access cover is adhered to the deck about the opening to cover the opening, with the conduit extending outwardly from the space. A body of foamed-in-place insulation is provided in the space, with the access cover sealing the deck opening to prevent leakage of the foamed-in-place insulation.

  • Patent number: 4991805
Abstract: A refrigeration apparatus includes a cabinet having a base assembly including front and rear sections. A leveling system therefor comprises a pair of front leveling legs and a pair of rear leveling legs. Means are included for threadably mounting the front leveling legs to the base assembly at the front section. Gear means are provided for drivably mounting the rear leveling legs to the base assembly at the rear section. Remote drive means are operatively connected to the gear means and extend toward the base assembly front section whereby all leveling of the refrigeration apparatus can be adjusted from in front of the refrigeration apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4714304
Abstract: Conventional refrigerator/freezer cabinets are provided with an outer shell having fixed dimensions determined according to total width of inner liners, and thus storage capacity, of the cabinet. For a manufacturer assembling cabinets of varying capacity, it is therefore necessary to stock many different size outer shells. However, to minimize costs it is desirable to use standard parts with any size cabinets. Accordingly, a cabinet construction is disclosed adaptable to provide a plurality of different cabinet widths with one size outer shell section. Each cabinet includes a pair of outer shell sections with each section including a back wall having an inner forwardly turned flange and an inwardly extending end portion. The end portions of the two sections overlap a selected amount determined according to the width of the liners. The end portions are then spot welded to one another.
