  • Patent number: 11678172
Abstract: Techniques for on-device enrollment of a secondary wireless device in an add-on cellular plan include receiving, at the secondary wireless device, cellular plan information for a cellular plan of a primary wireless device associated with the secondary wireless device. Based on the cellular plan information, the secondary wireless device displays an option to add the secondary wireless device to the cellular plan of the primary wireless device. A selection of the option to add the secondary wireless device to the cellular plan of the primary wireless device is received, and a request is transmitted to the primary wireless device for enrollment information for enrolling the secondary wireless device in an add-on plan of the cellular plan. The enrollment information, which includes a list of available add-on plans for the secondary wireless device or information associated with a provider of the cellular plan, is received at the secondary wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20070140933
Abstract: An apparatus for separating oxygen from an oxygen-containing gas and facilitating a chemical reaction with the separated oxygen includes a mixed conducting membrane, a porous body, and a material for catalyzing the reaction. The mixed conducting membrane has respective oxidation and reduction surfaces and is made of a non-porous, gas-impermeable, solid material capable of simultaneously conducting oxygen ions and electrons. At least the membrane and the catalyzing material are non-reactive with each other or are physically separated from each other during oxygen separation and the chemical reaction. The apparatus can be embodied by tubes, and a plurality of such tubes can form part of a reaction vessel in which various chemical reactions can occur benefiting from the apparatus design.

  • Publication number: 20050200124
Abstract: Composite joints for gas-tight members that exhibit different coefficients of thermal expansion are disclosed. Broadly, apparatus of the invention provides composite joints which include a girdle of a resilient material disposed between mating surfaces of a high strength metallic member and a nonmetallic member in an arrangement wherein a difference in fluid pressures across the joint provides compressive force upon the girdle through tapered mating surfaces thereby improving resistance to fluid leakage. Composite joints of the invention are particularly useful for joining a high strength weldable metallic conduit and a gas-tight ceramic member having a tubular structure, closed at one end, with a tapered mating surface at a distal end thereof contiguous with a portion of the girdle. Processes beneficially using joints in accordance with the invention include converting methane gas into value-added-products, for example, production of synthesis gas comprising carbon monoxide and molecular hydrogen.
